ODAC Commissioner's Cup Fall Results

Virginia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance is the proud sponsor for the Dan Wooldridge Overall Champions Cup and the ODAC Men and Women's Commissioner's Cups.  Farm Bureau and the ODAC continue their partnership in focusing on the strength of the conference's student-athletes and maintaining the NCAA Division III philosophy of the complete student-athlete experience.  Aside from supporting the ODAC Commissioners' Cups, Farm Bureau is the sponsor of the ODAC's sport-by-sport scholar-athlete awards.

As determined by the ODAC Board of Directors, points for the ODAC Commissioner's Cups are based on regular-season standings in team sports and championship team finishes in individual/meet sports.  Each institution has a total number of possible points it can collect based on its sport sponsorship.  The total number of points earned is then divided by the total number of possible points to determine the rating for each institution.

Washington and Lee, which hoisted all three cups in 2015-16 with record-setting ratings, missed out on just five total points in accumulating 72.0 of a possible 77.0 tallies for a 0.935 rating in the overall cup standings. That includes a 0.946 mark to lead the women's cup ranks. The Generals maxed out on points in both men's and women's cross country and women's soccer on the way to their lofty overall rating. Lynchburg sits second at 0.855 overall (59.0-of-69.0), while Randolph-Macon College is third in the Wooldridge Cup tables with a 0.704 rating (38.0-of-54.0).

The Generals collected 43.5 of a possible 46.0 points to lead the women's cup standings ahead of Lynchburg at 0.804 (37.0-of-46.0). Bridgewater College ranks third at 0.707 (32.5-of-46.0).

Lynchburg is joined by Washington and Lee with ratings over .900 in the men's cup competition. The Hornets missed out on just one points, gathering all 12 tallies from men's soccer and 10-of-11 from cross country to secure a 0.957 mark. W&L is not far off with a 0.919 rating (28.5-of-31.0). Randolph-Macon shows up third for a second time amongst the three cups, collecting 17.0 of a possible 20.0 points in men's sports for a 0.850 rating.
