Bateman, a first-year from Fredericksburg, Va., picks up his second weekly award of the season after competing in seven events and posting six ODAC season-best times in helping Washington and Lee to fourth place among nine teams in a strong field at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational in Lancaster, Pa. He finished seventh in the 50-yard freestyle in 0:21.61, but his preliminary time of 0:21.31 is the top time in the conference and slots 84th in the country.
