FROSTBURG, Md. - Junior
Elisabeth Hildebrand (Frederick, Md./Walkersville) scored three goals, all in the second half, to lead the Frostburg State women's lacrosse team to a 8-3 win over Bridgewater in the season opener for both teams, Wednesday evening.

Hildebrand, who has now scored in 18 of her last 19 games dating back to her freshman season, started the second half with her first goal of the evening just 24 seconds into the period that extended a Bobcat lead to 3-1.
After the Eagles cut the deficit to 4-2, Hildebrand found the net again, this time with 22:06 left in the period to hand FSU a 5-2 lead. Her third and final score came almost 10 minutes later when she completed the hat trick off an assist from junior
Ali Zinnel (Chestertown, Md./Kent County). Freshman
Rachel Frank (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown) and sophomore
Katie Danneman (Herndon, Va./Paul VI) assisted the first two goals.
Zinnel started the offensive output for the Bobcats in the contest. With FSU down 1-0, she scored her first career goal 18:23 into the first half to knot the contest at 1-1.
Sophomore
Megan Dent-Carman (LaVale, Md./Mercersburg Academy) ended the first half when she scored an unassisted goal with 54 seconds left to hand the hosts a 2-1 halftime lead.
Hildebrand gave FSU the 3-1 lead and Frank added her first goal of her collegiate career just 14 seconds later as FSU moved ahead 4-1 early in the second staza.
Mary Robinson, who posted a hat trick of her own for the Eagles, netted her second score of the game at 24:23 to cut the score to 4-2.
The Bobcats answered with three-straight goals over the next 10 minutes to take control of the game. Hildebrand sandwiched a pair of scores around Zinnel's second goal of the evening as FSU led 7-2.
Robinson added her third goal of the game with 12 minutes left and freshman
Ali Kapustin (Columbia, Md./Marriots Ridge) found the net with 8:06 left to bring the scoring to a close.
Senior
Erin Morrell (Easton, Md./Easton) picked up the win making three saves while BC keeper Colleen Schwind made 13 saves in the loss.
Frostburg State returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Washington for a game at 3:00 pm.
