Softball Drops Game To Shenandoah

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College softball team was 3-0 in the Salem Classic headed into today's game against Shenandoah and fell just short of going perfect for the weekend. The Hornets picked up the 3-2 win off of a 7th inning run. Salem is now 3-3, while Shenandoah improves to 2-2.

Salem scored both of their runs in the bottom of the 4th inning. The Hornets tied it in the 5th and got the winning run in the top of the 7th. Amanda Dacunto led the Spirits with 2 hits, while Montana Lineberger drove in both of Salem's runs. Kayla Ogle fell to 0-2 for the season as she only gave up 3 runs in 6 innings on 6 hits.

Salem will host Brandeis in a double header on Tuesday.
