Johns Hopkins Shuts Out Bridgewater, 2-0

• The Short Story: The fifth-ranked Johns Hopkins men's soccer team shut out host Bridgewater, 2-0, behind a pair of second-half goals.
 
How it Happened
• Hopkins controlled the play throughout the game but it took until the 60th minute for the Blue Jays to get on the scoreboard. Senior Achim Younker found junior RJ Moore open in the box and he fired a shot past Eagles' keeper Colin Rouaud to put JHU up 1-0.
• JHU put some distance between itself and Bridgewater with an insurance goal in the 79th minute. Younker slotted a pass across the box to senior Liam Moylan, who was wide open for the score.
 
What it Means
• Hopkins improves to 4-0-0 all-time against Bridgewater in the first meeting between the two since 2008.
• The Blue Jays are 5-1-0 for the second straight season.
 
Inside the Box Score
• Junior Xander LeFevre finished with a pair of saves in earning his second shutout of the season. It is also the eighth shutout of this career. Rouaud made eight saves in the loss for the Eagles.
• Hopkins outshot Bridgewater, 17-3, and had a 10-0 advantage in corners.

• Hopkins opens Centennial Conference play on Saturday, September 21 as Haverford visits Homewood Field. The game is slated for a 6:00 pm start.
