The Lead: Kylah Blackmore recorded 17 kills and 17 digs as Roanoke topped Shenandoah 3-1 in ODAC Volleyball action Wednesday night in Winchester, Va.

How it Happened

• In addition to Blackmore's 17 kills, Sydney Daniel had 10 kills of her own, while Alex Wolfe had five. Jessica Block 35 assists.
• Ryan Hedgepeth had 14 digs for the Maroons in the win, Oliva earls had 11 stops and Block had eight. Daniel and Grace Parrish each had three blocks for RC as well.
• Roanoke jumped out to a 12-4 lead in game one following a hitting error by SU. The Hornets rallied and were able to cut the Maroons lead to 16-15. With the score 21-20 a Daniel kill sparked a 4-1 run by the Maroons to take the game.
• Game two was tied at 16-16 before Roanoke scored five unanswered points, capping the run on back-to-back kills by Blackmore to take a 21-16 lead and eventually winning the game.
• After SU took game three 25-17, the Maroons rebounded to take game four to take the match.  The game was tied 11-11 when RC reeled off six straight points, taking a 17-11 lead on kills by Daniel and Logan Graves.  SU cut it to 19-16 before Roanoke scored the next three points to take a commanding 22-16 advantage.
