Washington and Lee Collects 4,002 Items to Lead League
Salem , Va - The Old Dominion
Athletic Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (ODAC SAAC)
recently completed its conference-wide community service project.
The 26-member committee worked together, with individual campus
SAACs, to collect canned goods for the third-annual ODAC Food
Drive.
The drive, which concluded recently, was a huge success with the
conference SAACs working to collect food items for local food
pantries and shelters across the Commonwealth. The conference-wide
group accumulated nearly 13,270 items that were distributed earlier
this week. This year's total well surpassed the 9,215 items
collected from a year ago.
Each campus' SAAC kept a tally to determine which conference school
had the most successful food drive. Washington and Lee won the
contest by collecting 4,002 total items. Randolph-Macon
Woman's College finished second with 2,540 items donated followed
by Guilford with 2,513 collected.
