FOOTBALL
Satiir Stevenson, Guilford, Sr.,
Defensive Back
Stevenson, a senior from Roselle,
N.J., helped Guilford move to 4-0 on the season and 1-0 in ODAC
play in the Quakers' 52-28 win over Washington and Lee. Stevenson
made a school-record 22 tackles against the Generals, while also
coming away with third interception of the season. The 22 tackles
mark the first 20-plus effort in the ODAC this season. The
interception, which led to a second quarter Guilford touchdown, is
the 13th over Stevenson's career and moves him into fourth among
Guilford's all-time leaders. Stevenson has now intercepted passes
in three straight games. He's tied for first in that category in
the ODAC this season, while also tying for second with 41 overall
tackles.

FOOTBALL
De'Eric Bell, Guilford, Fr., Running
Back
Bell, a freshman from Jackson, Ga.,
made his first collegiate start a memorable experience as he racked
up 253 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns to help lead Guilford
College to a 4-0 record and 1-0 start in ODAC play with a 52-28 win
over Washington and Lee. Bell ran for an ODAC weekly-best 149 yards
and two touchdowns on 24 carries. He also caught a game-high five
passes for 93 yards and another score. He added 11 yards on a
kickoff return. Bell's first touchdown of the day gave GC a 10-0
lead in the first quarter after he sprinted 55 yards to pay-dirt.
His other scoring run went for five yards, while his touchdown
reception covered 18 yards. He finished the game averaging 8.4
yards per touch of the ball, including 18.6 yards per catch and 6.2
yards per carry. Bell now has 251 yards and three touchdowns
rushing to go with 101 yards and one score receiving on the
season.

FIELD HOCKEY
Courtney Gillette, Lynchburg, Jr.,
Defender
Gillette, a junior from Dover, Del.,
starred offensive and defensively from her backline position for
the Hornets, helping Lynchburg to a 3-0 week that included a pair
of conference wins. After LC defeated Eastern Mennonite, 5-3, on
the road, Lynchburg welcomed Bridgewater to the Hill City. Gillette
came forward to score the game-tying goal with less than five
minutes to play to second the game into overtime. In the extra
frame, she kept the game alive with a defensive save, and then
converted a penalty to give LC a 4-3 victory. Lynchburg went on to
defeat Washington and Jefferson on Sunday. The Hornets have not
lost a game against a confernece opponent since 2008. Gillette now
has nine points on four goals and one assist. She's second in the
league with seven defensive saves.

GOLF
Ty
Palmer, Guilford, So.
Palmer, a sophomore from Kernersville,
N.C., led the Quakers to a dominating win at the Gordin Classic,
hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University. Palmer fired rounds of 66, 66
and 74 to finish 10-under-par and win individual medalist honors by
nine strokes over the second place golfer. The medal is the first
for Palmer in his collegiate career. Both rounds of six-under 66
came on the same day as competing teams played twice on Monday on
the par-72 7,010-yard track at the Colmbus Country Club. Palmer's
132 set a new GC record for the lowest 36-hole total in school
history. His three-round (54 holes) total of 206 is second only to
Noah Ratner's 204 at the 2011 Golfweek Invitational. Palmer's
effort helped Guilford claim its first team title of the season as
the Quakers finished at eight-over-par 872 to win by 17 strokes
over Rhodes College. The win also marks the fifth Gordin Classic
title in program history.

GOLF
Liza Freed, Washington and Lee,
Fr.
Freed, a freshman from Alexandria,
Va., helped the Generals place second out of eight teams at the Al
Jones Memorial hosted by the University of Texas at Tyler. Freed
rebounded from an opening 83 to improve by nine strokes on a day
two with a 74 to tied for fifth out of 44 golfers at 13-over-par
(157). For the season, Freed carries a 78.7 stroke average over
three rounds played.

MEN'S SOCCER
Marc Dinkel, Roanoke, Jr.,
Midfielder
Dinkel, a junior from Basel,
Switzerland, had a hand in all three goals in the Maroons 3-1
victory over Bridgewater College, helping Roanoke to a 1-0-1 week.
Dinkel assisted on the game's opening goal and then helped put RC
back in front in the second half with his second assist. He capped
the games scored with a 20-yard free kick from his prefer left foot
to the near post. Roanoke went on to tie Virginia Wesleyan College,
0-0, on Friday evening, keeping the Maroons undefeated in
conference play and atop the ODAC standings at 4-0-1 (7-2-2
overall). Dinkel leads the ODAC in points (20) and goals scored
(7), and is tied for tops in assists (6).

WOMEN'S SOCCER
Dessi Dupuy, Lynchburg, Sr.,
Forward
Dupuy, a senior from Lynchburg, Va.,
picks up her second weekly award of the season after helping lead
the Hornets to a pair of ODAC wins last week. Dupuy scored once and
dished out an assist in LC's 10-0 win over city-rival Lynchburg.
She followed that with two goals in a 5-0 triumph over Shenandoah.
Dupuy is second in the ODAC with 29 points. She's tied for second
with 12 goals scored, having also added five assists. Her ODAC
leading all-time tally for goals scored now sits at 89. Lynchburg
is currently ranked sixth in the country by the NSCAA
(www.nscaa.com) at 11-0 overall and 6-0 in conference play.

VOLLEYBALL
Jordan Templin, Randolph, Sr., Outside
Hitter
Templin, a senior from Ferrum, Va.,
collected 37 total kills from her outside position, helping
Randolph to a 1-1 record that included a ODAC victory over Virginia
Wesleyan. In that contest, Templin averaged nearly seven kills per
game on the way to 20 kills with 10 digs in the WildCats 3-0 road
win at VWC, who was previously unbeaten in conference play. In a
loss Southern Virginia the following day, Templin collected 17 more
winners to go with nine digs and one block. She finished the week
averaging 6.17 kills per set. For the season, Templin is second in
the ODAC in kills (265) and kills per set (3.68).

CROSS COUNTRY
Harrison Toney, Roanoke,
Jr.
Toney, a junior from Roanoke, Va.,
picks up his third weekly honor of the season after leading Roanoke
to a first place team finish in its division at the Hagan Stone
Classic. Toney was the top NCAA Division III finisher and second
overall amongst all competitors, completing the eight-kilometer
course in 25:46.9. The time marks a season-best for Toney.

CROSS COUNTRY
Kerri Dalton, Roanoke,
So.
Dalton, a sophomore from Roanoke, Va.,
placed eighth overall and second among NCAA Division III
competition at the Hagan Stone Classic, leading Roanoke to first
place in the D-III team rankings. RC finished second as a team
among all levels of NCAA competition. Dalton completed the
five-kilometer course in 19:46.8, setting a new season-best time at
that distance.
