ODAC Players of the Week

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Alex Graves, Lynchburg, Sr., Forward
Graves, a senior from Waynesboro, Va., picks up his second weekly award of the season after helping the Hornets to a trio of region victories over the past eight days. Graves registered a pair of doubles and nearly a third as he averaged 13.7 points and 10.3 rebounds over the three contests. He opened with 13 points and 11 boards with an ODAC season-high tying four steals in a 77-60 win at Averett. He again pulled down 11 rebounds in an 87-83 win over LaGrange in Daytona Beach, Fla., added 10 points for his ODAC-leading eighth double-double of the season. He added two assists and a blocked shot, the latter for the second straight game. Graves capped his week with 18 points and nine boards in an 86-84 comeback win over Berry. He scored 16 points in the second half as LC recovered with a 56-44 halftime deficit. He had two blocked shots and an assist. For the season, Graves is third in scoring average (16.7 ppg) while registering the most overall points (184) this season. He's first in blocked shots (17) and second in rebounding (9.5 rpg) and field goals made (62).

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Chaney Forbush, Lynchburg, Sr., Forward
Forbush, a senior from Clifton, Va., led the Hornets to a 71-60 triumph at Averett last week. Lynchburg's all-conference power forward was 7-of-12 from the field and 3-of-3 from the stripe in notching 17 points to go with 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. Three of her boards came via the offensive glass, a category in which she ranks seventh in the league (25). She also added an assist and a steal. For the season, Forbush is averaging 12.7 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per contest. She's third in the ODAC with 11 blocked shots.
