Interview with BC's Burgess and H-SC's Rohle

FOREST, Va. --- In this week's ODAC Podcast, Brad calls in from the NCAA Convention in Grapevine, Texas, a suburb just outside Dallas.  He and J.J. speak about some of the topics covered so far at the annual event.  They're also joined by a pair of interviews with Bridgewater men's basketball coach Don Burgess and former Hampden-Sydney running back, Kirk Rohle, who will receive the NCAA's "Award of Valor" on Friday.

Coach Burgess is in fifth season guiding the Eagles' men's basketball program.  His squads have been young over the past two years, but they've also gained valuable experience that is starting to turn into wins in ODAC play.  Bridgewater has won its past two conference outings and 7-of-11 games since the beginning of December.

Rohle, who starred out of the backfield for head coach Marty Favret's Tigers from 2008-11, will receive the NCAA's "Award of Valor" for his heroic efforts during a fire on the Hampden-Sydney campus last year.  Rohle, who had reached safety with eight of his housemates, returned to the burning house looking for the ninth member, childhood friend and offensive lineman Ben Rogers.  Rogers and Rohle found their ways outside the structure, but Rohle suffered third-degree burns to 47% of his body.  He recovered four months ahead of schedule to return to campus for classes in March and graduate over the summer.  For the complete story, click HERE.
