SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Shafer Busch, Randolph-Macon College
Busch, a sophomore from Virginia Beach, Va., set a new Estes Pool record in the Yellow Jackets victory at Greensboro College.  She posted a 60.69 in the 100-yard butterfly, besting her own top ODAC mark by 0.16 seconds and her nearest competitor by almost six seconds.  Busch also owns the top 50-yard freestyle time (25.72 seconds), is second in the 200-yard butterfly (2:22.28), fourth in the 400-IM (5:04.31) and fifth in the 200-IM (2:20.02).  

Swimming Honor Roll
Kim Edmonds, R-M Woman's Set a new pool record at Notre Dame-Maryland by winning the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:09.97; Also claimed the 100-yard freestyle (57.07) and the 160-yard IM (1:51.68).

MEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Ryan Holmes, Lynchburg College
Holmes, a senior from Glen Allen, Pa., provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III national meet during competition at Virginia Tech over the weekend.  Holmes 47-feet 6-inches in the triple jump, finishing in sixth place.  With the second half of the indoor season just underway, Holmes sits atop the long jump fixtures in the ODAC at 21-feet six-inches.  He is also second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.84 seconds.  Both his long jump and hurldes' marks took place at the Liberty Kickoff earlier in the season. 

WOMEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Sarah Funderburke, Lynchburg College
Funderburke, a senior from Fredricksburg, Va., ran a personal-best 60.37 in the 400-meters at Virginia Tech last weekend.  The time bests her top-showing of the early season, sitting second in the ODAC fixtures.  She also ran a 27.34 in the 200-meter dash, just .03 seconds faster than her previously posted mark.  On the first day at Tech, Funderburke ran 1:21.99 in the 500 meters.
