SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Susan Mahoney, Washington & Lee University
Mahoney, a sophomore from Richmond, Va., paced Washington & Lee to a sweep victory over Randolph-Macon Woman's and Hollins in a tri-meet.  She earned a pair of first place finishes, winning the 200-yard backstroke (2:19.07) and the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:12.06).  She also finished second in the 200-yard individual medley (2:18.14). 

Swimming Honor Roll
Kim Edmonds, R-M Woman's Team went 1-1 at tri-meet; won three events including 100 breaststroke (1:07.96), 200 breaststroke (2:30.54) and 200 IM (2:14.43) in which she reset her own school record.

MEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Melvin Queen, Bridgewater College
Queen, a junior from Chesapeake, Va., turned in a strong performance in the 55-meter dash at the VMI Winter Relays.  He finished fourth in the preliminaries, then ran 6.56 seconds to win the semis and ran 6.66 seconds in the finals to win the event.

Tony Konate, Bridgewater Finished third in the 55 dash at VMI; he owns the league's fastest mark in the event at 6.40 seconds
Jeremy Webster, Eastern Mennonite Placed seventh in the 200 dash (22.57) at the Carolina Invitational: EMU was one of only three D-III squads at the meet
Ricky Flynn, Lynchburg Ran the second-fastest LC time in the 3,000 run (8:49.99) at the Carolina Invitational

WOMEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Meredith Withers, Roanoke College
Withers, a junior from Swoope, Va., won the 55-meter hurdles at the VMI Winter Relays in 8.73 seconds.  The showing was a personal-best and the top time in the ODAC this season.  She also placed second in the high jump, clearing 4-feet 11-inches, and finished seventh in the long jump with a leap of 15-feet 4.75-inches.

Courtney Hartman, Bridgewater Finished fourth in the high jump (4-feet 9-inches), fifth in the 55 dash (7.48 secs.) and sixth in the shot (34-feet 5-inches) at the VMI Winter Relays
MIchelle Leaman, Eastern Mennonite Broke the EMU record in the 60 hurdles with a 9.58 seconds time; member of 4x400 relay team that also set a new school record (4:28.80) at the Carolina Invit.
Sarah Funderburke, Lynchburg Ran a season-best 26.99 secs. in the 200 dash at Carolina Invit.
Stacy Doornbos, Washington & Lee Top D-III finisher (2nd overall) in the triple jump (33-feet 6.75-inches) at the VMI Winter Relays; was also second among D-III participants in the long jump (16-feet 6.5 inches).
