BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
David Miller, Washington & Lee
University
Miller, a senior from Oak Hill, Va., went deep once
and knocked in nine runs to help the Generals to a 4-0 week
including three conference victories. Miller recorded three
multi-hit games including a four-hit effort in game two versus
Eastern Mennonite. In that contest, he went 4-for-7 with two
doubles, four runs batted in and four runs scored. His long
drive came in the week's opening match up with Guilford.
Overall, five of his nine hits went for extra bases.
BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Larry Greene, Hampden-Sydney College
Greene, a senior from Alexandria, Va., tossed a
complete game shutout to earn a 1-0 win over Roanoke last
week. In seven innings of work, Greene allowed only four hits
while walking once and striking out three.

| Greg Meleski, Randolph-Macon | Went 7-for-17 with a homer and six RBI... Scored three runs and drove in a trio in a victory over Catholic. |
| Kurt Breitmeyer, Randolph-Macon | Picked up his third win of the season in his first ODAC start against Guilford... Struck out a pair and gave up one run in 5.1 innings for the win. |
| Jim Plantholt, Washington & Lee | Recorded two saves in just as many appearances out of the Generals' pen... Allowed only one hit in his 2+ innnings of work. |
GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Peter Latimer, Guilford College
Latimer, a freshman from Markinch Fife, Scotland, was
the top D-III finisher at the Lonnie D. Small Spring Classic hosted
by Campbell University at Keith Hills #1 in Biers Hill, N.C.
Latimer went 77-75 to post an 8-over par 152 to help Guilford to a
ninth place finish.
MEN'S LACROSSE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kelly Mattie, Hampden-Sydney College
Mattie, a junior from Charlottesville, Va., led the
Tigers to a 16-3 non-conference win over Marymount last week.
He pumped in three goals and assisted on six others for nine total
points. He also picked up a pair of groundballs. Mattie
leads the #14 Tigers in points with 15 on the season. He has
scored seven goals and helped on eight others.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Deana Welsch, Lynchburg College
Welsch, a sophomore from Yorktown Heights, N.Y.,
scored nine points in the Hornets' two games in St. Croix.
Against E-town, she scored four times and assisted on a fifth
tally. She backed that up with a second four-goal showing,
this one against #12 Mary Washington.

| Mary Hutchins, Guilford | Scored a game-best and career-tying six goals in a 16-8 win over Frostburg State. |
SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kaitlyn Bowman, Bridgewater College
Bowman, a sophomore from Dayton, Va., led the Eagles
to a 7-1 record by hitting 15-for-16 (.577) with 10 runs
scored. Nine of her 15 hits went for extra bases as she
hammered three doubles, stretched out a triple, and cleared the
fence five times while driving in 17 runs. She hit safely in
each contest, hammering out multiple hits in all but one
contest. Her highlight performance came against Roanoke in
which she went 3-for-4 with two homers and three runs batted
in.
SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Shannon Harris, Emory & Henry College
Harris, a junior from Hendersonville, N.C., went 3-1
this past week with a victory over Virginia Wesleyan and two more
versus Randolph-Macon. She fanned 26 batters in 21.2 innings
of work, putting on an ODAC record-pace of 9.29 strikeouts per
seven innings pitched. Harris went the distance to get her
win over VWC, and struck out 13 batters in 6.2 innings of work
against the Yellow Jackets to pick up those to victories. Her
lone loss came to non-conference Maryville when the international
tie-breaker runner crossed the dish in the eighth inning to give
Maryville a 1-0 win. Harris had pitched

| Ashley Gills, Bridgewater | Won twice the Eagles spring trip, defeating Widener and Pitt-Greensburg... She struck out nine in 10 innings of work, allowing only two unearned runs. |
| Dana Detmar, Emory & Henry | Hammered three homeruns in a 30-1 win over Salem College... she drove in nine runs during that game to with her roundtrippers, both ODAC season highs. |
| Andrea Hixson, Randolph-Macon | Went 9-for-13 in a 2-2 week for the Jackets... scored six runs and drove in three more. |
| Loren Messick, Roanoke | Knocked 10 hits in 19 at bats to help the Maroons to six wins... was also perfect on 25 chances in the field, and boasted a .571 on base percentage. |
| Kelsey Ruitenberg, Roanoke | Won three games in the circle, fanning 19 batters in 20 innings of work... Held the opposition to a .127 batting average. |
| Krysal Ellis, Sweet Briar | She homered in each contest as she went 4-for-7 in two wins for the Vixens... Also had two doubles and nine RBI. |
| Becca Almond, Sweet Briar | Went the distance (5 inn.) in a 22-1 win over Salem... struck out 10 batters and didn't allow a hit, but surrendered five free passes. |
MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nat Estes, Washington & Lee University
Estes, a junior from Charleston, S.C., helped the
Generals to a 4-0 week by going 4-0 at #2 singles and 3-1 at #1
doubles. He helped lead W&L to a 5-4 win over 17th-ranked
Denison by winning 6-4, 6-4 in singles action and then teamed with
Tim Ross to knock off the Big Red's top doubles tandem by an 8-2
tally. For the season, Estes has posted an 11-4 record in
singles and an 8-5 mark in doubles.

WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Hilary Teeter, Bridgewater College
Teeter, a junior from Gettysburg, Pa., finished with
a 4-0 record at #1 singles and 2-2 at #1 doubles on the Eagles'
spring trip. She started the week with a straight set win at
Guilford (7-5, 6-1), and then added wins against Tri-State (three
sets), Lebanon Valley (6-1, 6-4) and Olivet (7-6, 7-5). She
also won doubles contests against Guilford (8-1) and Lebanon Valley
(8-4).
