BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mike Graves, Bridgewater College
Graves, a junior from Silver Springs, Md., hit .630
from the leadoff spot for the Eagles last week covering six games
of action. Bridgewater went 5-1 during the stretch.
Graves had 17 hits in the six games, including five doubles.
He was 5-for-6 against Greensboro, 4-for6 versus Emory & Henry
,and 6-for-8 in a doubleheader against Roanoke. He also drove
in four runs during the week and scored six runs.
BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Daniel Hadra, Hampden-Sydney College
Hadra, a junior from Mechanicsville, Va., earned a
save in game one and the win in the second contest in a
doubleheader against Washington & Lee University. He
allowed one hit and one walk while striking out a pair of Generals
in the final inning of opening game for his first save of the
season. He came back in the nightcap with eight strong
innings to improve to 5-2 on the year. He scattered nine hits
while giving up only one earned run while fanning six
batters.

| Eric McAfee, Emory & Henry | Batted .500 with six doubles and 13 RBI last week for the Wasps... went 4-for-6 with six RBI in a 16-15 win over RMC. |
| Phil Drew, Guilford | Went 7-for-17 with five RBI... Against W&L, he went 3-for-4 with four runs batted in. |
| Reid MacLean, Guilford | Went 1-0 in two starts, striking out 10 and allowing two earned runs in 13 innings of work. |
| Ronnie LaBrie, Lynchburg | Hit .467 with a double, two triples, one homer and six runs batted in... also scored nine runs. |
| Joey Crawford, Randolph-Macon | Collected 12 RBI with three home runs on the week... had five runs batted in apiece in a doubleheader with E&H. |
| Keith Petters, Virginia Wesleyan | Hit .500 with a double, homer and five runs batted in... went 3-for-5 in the first game with Guilford, clubbing both the double and homer with four RBI. |
| Chris Rivera, Virginia Wesleyan | Recorded his 12th complete game of the season in a 13-3 win over Guilford... Struck out four and scattered seven hits with two walks along the way. |
| Ray Sweeney, Washington & Lee | Went 6-for-12 with five doubles and three RBI in a 1-3 week for the Generals |
MEN'S LACROSSE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Scott Russell, Hampden-Sydney
Russell, a senior from Darien, Conn., helped the
Tigers to a 10-9 win over Lynchburg College with excellent play
between the pipes and surrounding his goal. Russell made 17
saves and picked up eight ground balls to bring HSC's record to
11-2 overall, 4-1 in conference. Russes boasts a .642 save
percentage and a 6.39 goals against average for the season.
The latter figure is an ODAC top mark.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kelsi Robinson, Washington & Lee
University
Robinson, a sophomore from West Chester, Pa., scored
nine goals and helped out on five others for a 14-point week for
the Generals. Washington & Lee went 3-0 to finished 8-0
going into the ODAC tournament. Robinson scored twice and
picked up three assists against Hollins. She followed that up
with three goals and two more helpers in a 15-6 win over
Lynchburg. She finished her week with four tallies in a 16-5
win over Virginia Wesleyan.

| Traci Phipps, Randolph-Macon | Scored four times and recorded nine assists with seven draw controls in a 1-0 week for the Yellow Jackets... had two goals and seven assists in an 18-2 win over Hollins. |
| Julie Sellers, Sweet Briar | Picked up seven goals and helped on another in a 1-2 week for the Vixens... Scored four times with one assist in a 13-12 win over Methodist. |
MEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Tony Konate, Bridgewater College
Konate, a freshman from Reston, Va., won both sprints
and ran a leg on the winning 4x100-meter relay team at the Royals
Invitational at Eastern Mennonite University last weekend. He
won the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.03 seconds, and came through
in the 200-meter dash in 22.06 seconds.

WOMEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD ATHLETE OF THE
WEEK
Michelle Leaman, Eastern Mennonite
University
Leaman, a freshman from Broadway, Va., set a new
record with her time in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing in 15.65
seconds. She finished second in that event, and did the same
in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:09.41. She also ran a
leg on the winning 4x400-meter relay team, coming in at a time of
4:26.97.

| Courtney Hartman, Bridgewater | Placed first in the heptathlon at the Generals combined meet, posting 4,112 points... she qualified provisionally for the nationals with that performance. |
