Chase Shuford, Guilford, So., Pitcher

Shuford, a sophomore from Mathews, N.C., threw a career-high six shutout innings in the Quakers 2-0 win over Bluefield State College.  She gave up just two hits and walked one on the way to victory.  He fanned six batters, retiring the last 14 hitters he faced in a row.

Ryan Leake, Bridgewater (Jr. - Fredericksburg, Va.)
Leake allow just one hit in four innings to earn the win in a 2-0 seven-inning triumph over N.C. Wesleyan.  He walked two and struck out seven.

Trevor Martin, Lynchburg (Jr. - Afton, Va.)
Martin tossed six shutout innings to get his first collegiate win in an 11-0 victory over Saint Joseph's (Me.).  He gave up one hit and walked three while striking out five.  It also marked his longest outing.

Rick Spiers, Randolph-Macon (Fr. - South Chesterfield, Va.)
Spiers got the start and the win in game two against Rensselaer, an 8-2 victory.  He gave up on unearned run on five hits with a walk and seven punchouts towards his second win of the season.
