Morse, a junior from Vienna, Va., went the distance as Shenandoah to guide Shenandoah to a 3-2 victory over Hampden-Sydney and recover from a 15-7 setback to the Tigers in game one of the weekend series. Morse surrendered two runs on just three hits. He walked four batters, but offset those free passes with a season-high 12 strikeouts that included fanning the side to open the game. He retired seven straight batters at one point, and didn't allow a runner to reach second base after the fifth inning. For the season, Morse is now 7-0 wiht a 2.34 earned run average in 57.2 innings of work. He leads the ODAC with 56 strikeouts.
