Shenandoah Wins ODAC Football Play of the Week Award

Shenandoah Wins ODAC Football Play of the Week Award

FOREST, Va. --- Week three featured four plays in the ODAC Football Play of the Week fan poll, and we've got a first time winner coming thru.  Shenandoah University picked up the majority of votes, edging out Guilford College to the final bell for the Hornets' inaugural honor from the poll.

Leading 31-20 in the fourth quarter, Shenandoah defensive back Josh White made a pair of interceptions on successive offensive plays for Ferrum, returning them a combined 90 yards to setup touchdown drives and put the game away.  His second interception came just after a Hornets' touchdown when he came from outside coverage to undercut the receiver for the turnover.  He returned it 47 yards to the Panther 3-yard line, eluding two would-be tacklers along the way.  Two plays later, SU punched in their final score of the game to lock away its second win of the year, 45-20.

All four plays garnered more were viewed more than 600 times on YouTube and the ODAC website.  SU's interception and return by White earned 48.5-percent of this week's votes.
