Washington and Lee Wins ODAC Football Play of the Week Fan Poll

FOREST, Va. --- Week four featured just two games, but they provided fans with a pair of top-notch plays in the fourth installment of the ODAC Football Play of the Week fan poll.  Washington and Lee University picked up its first win of the season thanks to McKenna Johnston's long touchdown run in its win over Newport News Apprentice.

Washington and Lee scored early and often in its 56-21 win over Newport News Apprentice.  The Generals' first touchdown of the game came barely a minute into the contest.  McKenna Johnston took a handoff from Charlie Nelson and made his way thru the right side of the line into open space, only to see would be tacklers close in quickly.  He ran thru two tackles and out-paced a third would-be tackler for a 43-yard touchdown run with 13:51 on the first-quarter clock.

This week's two nominees were viewed more than 750 times on YouTube and the ODAC website.  W&L's opening touchdown against the Builders garnered 60.0-percent of the vote, besting Emory & Henry College (40.0%) upon the poll's closing.
