Guilford Wins Second ODAC Football Play of the Week Fan Poll

FOREST, Va. --- Guilford College returns to the winners' circle for the first time since week three of the season as the Quakers earned their second ODAC Football Play of the Week fan poll victory.  Rontavius Miller's 85-yard catch-and-run held on to clip Randolph-Macon College's 35-yard touchdown run by Yonis Blanco at the wire.

Five plays after recovering a fumble on its own goal line to keep the score tied at 20-20, quarterback, Matt Pawlowski threw a short bubble screen to Rontavius Miller. Miller picked up a key block by Austen Thompson and stiff-armed a second defender to get into the second level of the Tigers' defense. As he sprinted to the end zone, he spun thru the grasp of two would-be tacklers inside the Hampden-Sydney 15-yard line on his way to pay-dirt and a 26-20 GC lead. The Quakers would go on to win, 33-20.

This week's four nominees were viewed more than 500 times on YouTube and the ODAC website.  Miller's 85-yard catch-and-run received 46.61-percent of the vote to nip Blanco's touchdown run by less than three-percent (43.66).
