College Football 150th Anniversary Debuts Website
June 06, 2018The College Football 150th Anniversary has debuted another component of its celebration with the launch of its website at CFB150.org. The site will be designed in conjunction with SIDEARM Sports, a Learfield Company. -
Washington and Lee Names LeRose New Football Head Coach
February 14, 2018Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn announced that following a national search, Garrett LeRose '07 has been promoted to head football coach effective immediately. LeRose had previously served as the program's assistant head coach and coach of tight ends and wide receivers.

College Football 150th Anniversary Reveals Logo
February 08, 2018Fresh off national signing day and the excitement surrounding it, the look of the College Football 150th Anniversary celebration is ready with the release of the campaign logo. In addition, CFB150 has announced a partnership with The Marketing Arm to assist with all facets of the upcoming anniversary.

Three Football Standouts Earn Academic All-America Recognition
December 13, 2017Three ODAC football standouts took home impressive dual-emphasis honors on Wednesday afternoon as Shenandoah University center Caleb Hutson and Washington and Lee University linebacker Max Garrett and defensive back Grey Reames were named Academic All-Americans by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Garrett earned a spot on the first team, while Hutson and Reames were tabbed to the second team.

H-SC's Johnson, W&L's Garrett Highlight All-ODAC Football Awards
November 21, 2017Washington and Lee University garnered four major individual awards and earned 12 selections to all-conference teams to headline the 2017 All-ODAC Football Awards. Hampden-Sydney College receiver Cam Johnson was named the J. Stokeley Fulton Offensive Player of the Year, while W&L linebacker Max Garrett took home Lou Wacker Defensive Player of the Year and ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete laurels. Generals mentor Scott Abell was tabbed the ODAC Coach of the Year, while W&L running back Josh Breece received ODAC Rookie of the Year recognition.

Generals Fall to Mount Union in NCAA Football First Round
November 18, 2017Washington and Lee limited second-ranked Mount Union to a season-low 276 yards of total offense and only 10 first downs in dropping a 21-0 decision to the Purple Raiders in the opening round of the NCAA football tournament at Mount Union Stadium.

ODAC Football Report: Week 11
November 12, 2017ODAC and school record books got a workout on Saturday with several explosive performances highlighting this weekend's games. But the biggest headline belongs to Washington and Lee as the Generals secured the ODAC title with a win at Shenandoah. They will face the University of Mount Union in the NCAA first round. Randolph-Macon claimed a win in "The Game" against Hampden-Sydney, while Guilford closed with a win over Emory & Henry. Bridgewater dropped its final contest of the season in non-conference play.

Washington and Lee and Hampden-Sydney find themselves atop the league table after wins left them both 4-1 in conference action. Randolph-Macon picked up a victory to join Shenandoah at 3-2, while Emory & Henry capped its non-conference schedule with a victory to snap a four-game skid.

Both Shenandoah and Hampden-Sydney fell from the ranks of the ODAC unbeaten, creating a four-team logjam of one-loss squads including Shenandoah at 3-1 and Hampden-Sydney, Randolph-Macon, and Washington and Lee each at 2-1.

Southern Virginia to Join ODAC as Associate Member in Football
October 16, 2017For the second time in the last four months, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) will see an adjustment to its membership. Southern Virginia University has accepted an invitation to join the NCAA Division III league as an associate member in football. The Knights will begin ODAC competition on the gridiron in the 2019-20 academic year.

October 15, 2017There was no shortage of offense in week seven with ODAC teams posting a combined 270 points to average more than 38 per squad. Shenandoah scored just that many in remaining unbeaten in the ODAC. Hampden-Sydney maintained its unblemished league mark by capping its non-conference schedule with a win. Randolph-Macon and Washington and Lee both ran their way to a pair of league victories with the latter squad notching its first ODAC triumph of the season.

Hampden-Sydney out-lasted Guilford for a three-point win, the Tigers' third victory by 10 or fewer points this season. Randolph-Macon evened its league record at 1-1 with a win at Bridgewater, while Washington and Lee capped its non-conference schedule with a victory over Washington-St. Louis.

Hampden-Sydney came just shy of the 40-point mark in its league win.

ODAC Football Report: Week 2
September 10, 2017ODAC teams are now 11-3 after two weeks of non-conference play to start the 2017 season, including a 6-1 showing this past Saturday. Bridgewater College, Guilford College, Randolph-Macon College, and Shenandoah University all moved to 2-0, while Emory & Henry College and Washington and Lee University posted wins to even their records at 1-1. Hampden-Sydney College fell in its second outing to see its record stand at 1-1.

Emory & Henry Favored Atop ODAC Football Preseason Poll
August 15, 2017Emory & Henry College rattled off five straight wins to close the 2016 season, and the conference's head coaches have picked the Wasps to maintain that momentum as they top the ODAC Football Preseason Poll. E&H earned 32 points including five first place votes, putting them six tallies clear of defending champion Randolph-Macon College. The Yellow Jackets and Hampden-Sydney College, positioned fourth in the survey, split the remaining two top nods. Washington and Lee University slots in between the two rivals in third with 24 points.
