FOREST, Va. --- The list of ODAC unbeaten squads is down to the smallest of numbers with just Bridgewater unblemished thru four weeks of action. The Eagles are at 2-0 in league play along with Randolph-Macon and Washington and Lee following wins on Saturday. Shenandoah improved its league record to 1-1, while Emory & Henry closed the non-conference portion of its schedule with its first victory of the season.
This week's ODAC Offensive and Defense Players of the Week are Washington and Lee quarterback Jack Pollard and Emory & Henry defensive lineman Da'von Keith.
BRIDGEWATER 40, SOUTHERN VIRGINIA 6 | Box Score
Bridgewater improved to 4-0 on the season in a battle of ODAC unbeaten teams with a 40-6 home win over Southern Virginia. The BC defense, which still has not allowed a first-half touchdown this season, bent just a little in surrendering six points and 287 yards of offense, most of which went to Knights' running back Akiva Wedge (144 yards on 25 carries). Eagles' quarterback Jay Scroggins continued his fine season with 204 yards and three TD passes thru the air. The three scores were highlighted by Demetreus Jalepes 69-yard catch-and-run. BC's running back also scored via the ground as part of a 9-carry 68-yard day. Re'Shaun Myers led the unit with eight tackles, while Da'Sean Davis intercepted a pass. For SVU, kicker Jackson Hatch accounted for the Knights points with field goals of 24 and 34 yards. Several players registered four tackles to lead the defense, including Simi Moala who notched a quarterback sack.
RANDOLPH-MACON 31, FERRUM 10 | Box Score
Randolph-Macon out-gained Ferrum, 366-224, on the way to earning a 31-10 road win on Saturday. Quarterback Presley Egbers made the most of his first start for R-MC, throwing for 175 yards and two touchdowns. Tre Frederick ran for 77 yards on 26 carries, while Jordan Foster scored twice as part of a 4-carry 53-yard performance. He also caught five passes for 41 yards. Trey Owens and Sam Tanner caught the TD passes from Egbers. Defensively, Calvin Whitehead led with 11 stops, while Keshaun Butler intercepted a pass. For Ferrum, Titus Jones threw a TD pass to Brian Mann to account for the Panthers lone touchdown. Mann led with 84 yards on 23 carries. Defensively, Bill Higgins made an ODAC season-high 18 tackles, while DJ Baylor and Ja'Kari Williams intercepted passes.
SHENANDOAH 26, GUILFORD 7 | Box Score
Shenandoah opened with 26 unanswered points thru the mid-point of the third quarter on its way to a 26-7 road win at Guilford. The Hornets put together a balanced offensive effort, with Ben Agostino throwing for 164 yards and a touchdown to go with Rashadeen Byrd and Mario Wisdom combining for 161 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Casey Stewart hauled in nine passes for 88 yards to lead all players in both categories. Nate Hill set a new school-record with a 96-yard punt return for the Hornets final points of the game. Hill also intercepted a pass on defense. Mason Caldwell led the unit with nine tackles including a pair of sacks and a fumble recovery. For Guilford, Alex Manley threw for 263 yards and a touchdown to Tre Alexander. Jordan Smith led GC's receivers with six catches for 79 yards. Defensively, Gerard Seals led with nine tackles including a pair for a loss. Jeremiah Hedrick and Josh Hayward intercepted passes.
WASHINGTON AND LEE 43, HAMPDEN-SYDNEY 24 | Box Score
Washignton and Lee put up 521 yards and forced a trio of Hampden-Sydney turnovers in a 43-24 road victory. The Generals got 302 yards of total offense from quarterback Jack Pollard, who ran for 58 yards and a score to go with 244 yards and two touchdowns thru the air including an 80-yard bomb to Coby Kirkland in the third quarter. W&L scored four times on the ground with Alex Wertz registering two scores and Josh Breece one to go with Pollard's 23-yard jaunt. Montgomery Owen hauled in three passesfor 134 yards, while Wertz added a third TD for the game on a seven-yard pass. Defensively, the Generals held H-SC to 21 yards rushing, marking their third straight game in holding the opponent to less than 43 yards on the ground. Fred Benham led the unit with five tackles and a sack. Davis Waldrop, Owen Roberts, and Jay Roberts intercepted passes. For Hampden-Sydney, Kaleb Smith caught 10 passes for 148 yards and a touchdown and ran for a second score. Cullen Lyons also posted a rushing touchdown. Major Morgan caught five passes for 92 yards. Defensively, Riggs Jordan led with 12 stops including three for a loss.
EMORY & HENRY 49, BLUEFIELD COLLEGE 21 | Box Score
Emory & Henry picked up its first win the season with a 49-21 road triumph at NAIA-member Bluefield College. Quarterback Hunter Taylor shook off a pair of interceptions with three TD passes - each to Derrick Yates (5 catches for 82 yards) - and another score on the ground. T.J. Tester also posted a rushing touchdown. Gunner Griffith led all receivers with nine catches for 110 yards. Defensively, Da'von Keith was a menace in the Rams' backfield as he registered 4.0 quarterback sacks including a strip-sack in which he recovered the fumble and returned it 35 yards for a touchdown. Staymon Johnson led the unit with eight stops, while Cecil Parham and Jayden Rosenboro intercepted passes.

FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Da'von Keith | Emory & Henry | Sr. | Defensive Lineman
Keith, a senior from Columbia, S.C., was an absolute menace on Saturday as he camped out in Bluefield's backfield in Emory & Henry's 49-21 road win. Keith, a former All-ODAC First Team selection who missed last season, put together his best showing of the year with six stops that included an ODAC 2019 single-game high 4.0 sacks that cost Bluefield 27 yards of offense. Two of his sacks came on second down that resulted in 3rd-and-long and ultimately punts for the Rams. His second sack of the game put an end to Bluefield's final drive just before halftime. Keith's last sack, however, proved his most impactful as he not only got to the Rams' quarterback, but forced a fumble which he recovered and returned 35 yards for a touchdown to seal the Wasps' victory. Keith also registered two other quarterback hurries in the contest.

FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jack Pollard | Washington and Lee | So. | Quarterback
Pollard, a sophomore from Richmond, Va., has been stellar thru two games as the Generals quarterback and that trend continued in Washington and Lee's 43-24 victory at Hampden-Sydney on Saturday. Pollard, who has accounted for 608 yards of offense and six touchdowns over the past two weeks, racked up 302 yards from scrimmage and three scores against the Tigers. He was efficient and explosive thru the air on 7-of-9 passing for 244 yards and two touchdowns. He connected with Coby Kirkland on an 80-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter and Alex Wertz on a seven-yard score with 13:35 to play. His other five completions accounted for 157 yards at 31.4 yards per completion. That included a 59-yard completion to Montgomery Owens down to the H-SC 1-yard line to setup a touchdown with 0:13 on the second quarter clock for a 20-17 halftime edge. Pollard added another touchdown on a 23-yard jaunt in the first quarter. He finished with 58 yards on 14 carries for the game.
