Hartford, a junior from Pittsburgh, Pa., helped lead
Washingtonand Lee to the ODAC title against Hampden-Sydneyby
spearheading a defensive effort that included five turnoversand
five sacks. Hartford notched six tackles (5 solo)and a pair of
interceptions in a 38-27 win over the Tigers.Both takeaways were in
the second half and well insideW&L’s defensive half of
the field. The latter pick came atthe Generals’ one-yard line
as the Tigers tried to mount acomeback in the fourth quarter. For
the year, Hartford has35 tackles, six pass breakups and three
interceptions.
