JENNY WEIR, Lynchburg College, Senior, Attack

Weir, a senior from Richmond, Va., scored four goals and had three assists in two games on the week. She notched three goals and dished out two assists in Lynchburg's 8-0 win over Washington and Lee.  Two of her goals came in a 13-second spurt in the first half, which was part of a three-goal burst over 1:21 in which LC pushed to a 5-0 after just over 13 minutes of play. She followed that up with one goal and another helper in a 4-1 over Shenandoah.  Weir has scored 13 goals on the season, eclipsing her career-high of 12 in 2009.

Field Hockey Honor Roll

Linda Cimini, Eastern Mennonite University, Senior, Attack
Cimini drove home five goals in two games and notched her first career hat trick.  In EMU’s Homecoming win over Virginia Wesleyan on Friday, Cimini single-handedly blew the game open by scoring four straight goals, including three in the span of 5:51.  Against Bridgewater, she scored the game’s second goal to give the Lady Royals a little breathing room in their 4-0 victory.  Cimini now leads EMU in scoring with 11 on the season and is among the top scorers in the ODAC as well.

Lauren Seal, Randolph-Macon College, Freshman, Attack
Seal scored the game-winning goal in overtime against Kenyon College on Saturday in the Yellow Jackets' 2-1 victory.  Seal rattled the cage twice in the Yellow Jackets 8-0 win over Sweet Briar College on Sunday, giving her four goals for the week.  She also had two assists against the Vixens.
