Maggie Waxter, Washington and Lee, Jr., Attack
November 02, 2015Waxter, a junior from Baltimore, Md., helped the Generals secure the top seed in the upcoming ODAC Tournament with a four-goal week in two conference games. She started by notching her third hat trick of the season in a 6-0 win at Virginia Wesleyan. It also marked her second straight game with three goals and gives her four career hat tricks, the most in W&L history. Waxter's fourth goal of the week came via a 1-0 win over Bridgewater, which locked up the #1 seed and final four hosting responsibilities for the Generals in the ODAC Tournament. Waxter is currently tied for first in the ODAC with 15 goals, and her 31 points are third in the league. -
Nicole Simpao, Lynchburg, Fr. Midfielder
October 26, 2015Simpao, a freshamn from Stafford, Va., registered nine-point week as the Hornets went 2-1 over a six-day stretch. Simpao opened with a 34th minute goal to tie the game 1-1 in Lynchburg's 2-1 loss at nationally fifth-ranked Salisbury. She followed that with a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win at Ferrum. Simpao capped her week by scoring twice against then ODAC-leading Shenandoah, notching LC's second goal and then depositing the game-winner in the 59th minute towards a 3-2 victory. Simpao is tied for the ODAC lead with 34 points and eight assists, and is second with 13 goals scored.

Kelani Bailey, Shenandoah, Sr., Midfielder
October 19, 2015Bailey, a senior from Norfolk, Va., put her stamp on all three goals of Shenandoah's goals this week as the Hornets posted a pair of overtime wins and sit atop the ODAC with a 4-0 league record. Bailey started her week by tallying the game's lone goal in the 79th minute for a 1-0 non-conference victory at Frostburg State. In a 2-1 double-overtime triumph over Washington and Lee, Bailey played a part in both goals. She assisted Alana Meadows on the first goal of the game, and then secured the Hornets' victory with her second goal of the week in the 99th minute of play. Bailey is currently second on the squad with 13 points on five goals and three assists.

October 12, 2015Waxter, a junior from Baltimore, Md., helped the Generals to a pair of ODAC wins this week, keeping them tied atop the conference standings at 3-0 with Shenandoah. Waxter posted four goals on the week, including both of the game's tallies in a 2-0 win over Roanoke. She followed that up with the first and fourth goals in a 4-0 road win at Eastern Mennonite. Waxter is tied for second in the ODAC with eight goals and is fourth with 17 points.

Kendall Bernard, Washington and Lee, Fr., Midfielder
October 05, 2015Bernard, a freshman from Houston, Texas, helped the Generals to a 2-0 week that included the program's first win over Lynchburg College since the 2005 ODAC Championship game. Following a 5-0 win at Ferrum, Bernard scored twice in a 3-1 win over the 10th-ranked Hornets. She scored the tying goal 10 minutes into the second half off an assist from Maggie Waxter, and then added her second tally in a one-on-one effort against the keeper in the 63rd minute. The win over LC marks the Hornets' first regular season league loss since 2008. The two goals were the first of Bernard's career.

Catherine Rogerson, Lynchburg, Sr., Attack
September 28, 2015Rogerson, a junior from Midlothian, Va., helped the 13th-ranked Hornets to a pair of wins last week. That included Lynchburg's ODAC opener via a 2-1 overtime result at Roanoke. Rogerson scored the game-tying goal late in the first half and in quick response to the Maroons' tally just 28-seconds prior. Rogerson then went on to score twice in a 5-2 win at York College (Pa.). Both her tallies came in the second half as LC recovered from a 1-0 first-half deficit. Rogerson's three goals mark her scores of the season.

Kelsey Stanley, Randolph-Macon, So., Goalkeeper
September 21, 2015Stanley, a sophomore from Bumpass, Va., stood tall in a pair of overtime victories for Randolph-Macon last week, one of which came down to penalty strokes. Stanley made 34 total saves in the Yellow Jackets wins over St. Mary's (Md.) and Roanoke, surrendering three goals overall. She made 20 stops in a 3-2 win over the Seahawks, which required penalty strokes to decide. She made three saves apiece in the two overtime periods, and then came thru with the clinching save in the second of penalty strokes after R-MC had gone ahead, 3-2. Against Roanoke, Stanley preserved a 2-1 victory with 14 saves, including 10 in the second half and two more in overtime. Stanley currently leads the ODAC with 88 saves while boasting an .830 save percentage.

Karissa LeMaire, Lynchburg, So., Defender
September 14, 2015LeMaire, a sophomore from Rehoboth, Del., played in major part in both of Lynchburg's non-conference wins last week, keeping the Hornets' undefeated thru four games. In a 3-2 win over 16th-ranked Christopher Newport, LeMaire scored once and a dished out an assist. Her contributions came in overtime in a 3-2 triumph over Alvernia later in the week, as she tallied the game-winning goal just 1:34 into the extra frame. LeMaire's two goals and assist on the week mark her first points of the season.

Heather Schauder, Roanoke, Fr., Goalkeeper
September 08, 2015Schauder, a freshman from Bryn Athyn, Pa., made her collegiate debut a memorable one as she helped the Maroons to a 1-0 overtime victory over Stevenson University, helping Roanoke to a 2-0 start to the 2015 season. Schauder made 17 saves over the course of 66-plus minutes minding RC's cage, including three stops of penalty strokes in the first 25 minutes of the contest.
