Kelsey Jones, Shenandoah, So., Forward

Jones, a sophomore from Fredericksburg, Va., put together an eight-point week in leading Shenandoah to a pair of ODAC wins, including one in dramatic fashion. Jones opened her week with a goal and an assist in a 4-1 victory over Randolph-Macon. Then on the weekend, she had a hand in all three goals of the Hornets' 3-2 overtime come-from-behind victory at Roanoke. Down 2-0 in the second period, Jones pushed a back-handed chip shot past the keeper in the 23rd minute and then assisted Megan Stevens on the tying goal in the 29th minute. That would be all the scoring thru regulation. More than nine minutes passed before Jones came thru with the game-winner as she weaved her way thru traffic for an unassisted tally to keep Shenandoah near the top of the ODAC table at 4-1 in league play. For the season, Jones leads the ODAC in assists (18) and is second in points (36). Her nine goals are tied for eighth in the conference.
