FOREST, Va. --- ODAC golfers continued their strong fall slates with multiple top-10 finishes plus individual and team victories in events played over the past week. Those earning the ODAC Golfer of the Week honors are Hampden-Sydney first-year Alex Rubino and Lynchburg first-year Lily Self.

MEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Alex Rubino | Hampden-Sydney | Fy.
Rubino, a first-year from Charlotte, N.C., came up one stroke shy of his third first place finish of the season as he tied for second at the Royal Lakes Invitational hosted by Oglethorpe University. Rubino posted new collegiate bests for 36 holes (137) and 18 holes with his final round 6-under 66 tying for low-round of the tournament following two rounds on the par 72 track set at 6,826 yards at the Royal Lakes Golf Club in Flowery Branch, Ga. Rubino paired his second round 66 - which was a clean round with six birdies and 12 pars - with a 1-under 71 over the first 18 holes to finish at 7-under for the tournament. Hampden-Sydney went on to claim the team title, besting 17 other programs with a 17-under 559 (278-281). The Tigers 278 in the first round marked the low-round for the tournament and the lowest set of 18 holes for any ODAC program this season.

WOMEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK

Self, a first-year from Bristol, Tenn., extended her event winning streak to three straight outings as she claimed medalist honors at the Greene Turtle Invitational hosted by Shenandoah University. She has now finished in the top-five in all four events this season. Self opened the 36-hole affair with a 10-over 82 leaving her two shots off the pace following the first round at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club. She rebounded in the second round, carding a 4-over 76 on the par 72 track set at 5,803 yards. That was the only sub-80 round of the tournament and led to a four-stroke victory over teammate Maddie Cody. Lynchburg placed second as a team at 126-over 702 (359-343).
