ODAC Athletes of the Week | Golf

FOREST, Va. --- The fall schedule for ODAC golf came to a close this week with the final men's tournament until after the turn of the calendar. The women's fall slate closed the previous week. Earning the final ODAC Men's Golfer of the Week honor of the fall is James Mishoe from Guilford College.

MEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
James Mishoe | Guilford | Sr.
Mishoe, a senior from Cary, N.C., was the top finishing ODAC player at The O'Briant-Jensen Memorial, which featured 11 of the top-30 ranked team's by Golfstat and six of the top-12. Mishoe carded a 2-under par 140 to tie for third overall out of 120 players, three strokes off the pace of individual medalist Logan Ryan from Emory University after two rounds on the par-71 track at The Cardinal by Pete Dye set at 6,743 yards. Mishoe opened with a 3-under 68 to head to the clubhouse as the first round leader. He chimed in at 1-over 72 in round two on the way to his best individual placing of the season and second top-five showing of the fall slate. He made 26 pars over his 36 holes, the second-most of the tournament. Mishoe's effort helped Guilford finish in a tie for fourth on the team table at 13-over par 581 (290-291), six strokes back of first-place squads Carnegie Mellon (294-281) and Emory (295-280).
