MIKE BUTZGY, Lynchburg College, Senior

Butzgy, a senior from Miller Place, New York, won the Virginia State Intercollegiate on the Stony Creek Golf Course in Wintergreen with a three-under-par 147.  His rounds of 70 (tournament low) and 71 on the par 72 track helped the Hornets to a fifth place team finish (626).  The win marks the first for Butzgy in his collegiate career.

Travis Gahman, Bridgewater College, Sophomore
Gahman was the top finisher for the Eagles at the Virginia State Intercollegiate with a five-over, 149. Gahman's five-over for the 36-hole tournament was good enough for fourth place.

Noah Ratner, Guilford College, Freshman
Ratner posted the Quakers' low score at the Davidson Invitational with a three-round 222... shot a one-over-par 73 in the first round, 75 in the second and 74 in the third... placed 4th individually among 63 contestants, tops among the two non-Division I teams... helped Guilford place fourth in the 12-team field that included 10 Division I teams.

Max Wyndorf, Randolph-Macon College, Junior
Wyndorf led Randolph-Macon to the first Virginia State Intercollegiate title last week by finishing second in the tournament.  He fired two rounds of 71 to finish two-under-par, one stroke off the tournament winner.  The Yellow Jackets shot 615 (300-315) to top the team standings.

Tim Gavrich (Junior) and Robert Womble (Senior), Washington and Lee University
Gavrich and Womble tied for 11th at the Virginia State Intercollgiate with two round totals of 153.  Gavrich had rounds of 77 and 76, while Womble carded scores of 79 and 74.
