Drew Thompson, Guilford, Sophomore

Thompson, a sophomore from Pickerington, Ohio, picks up his second weekly awards of the 2012-13 year as he tied for fourth overall in the Gold Championship of the Marine Corps Intercollegiate at Camp Lejuene.  He posted rounds of 70, 66 and 76 on the way to a two-under-par 212 at Paradise Point Golf Club, finishing two strokes behind individual medalist Mike Wesko from Methodist.  Thompson's performance helped the 11th ranked Quakers place sixth in the field of 32. His second-round 66 is a career-low and tied for fifth in school history. His 36-hole score of 136 and his 54-hole score of 212 rank third and eighth, respectively, in Guilford history.

Men's Golf Honor Roll

Matt Dye, Bridgewater (Va.) - (Jr. , - Hartwood, Va. )
Dye finished in a tie for 42nd in the Gold Championship at the Marine Corps Intercollegiate hosted at Camp Lejeune.  His placing was the third-best for a golfer in the ODAC as he carded rounds of 75, 70 and 77 towards an eight-over 222 at Paradise Point Golf Club.

Colby Francis, Lynchburg College - (Freshman, - Gladys, VA)
Francis fired a combined score of 161 last weekend at the Lynchburg College Invitational to help LC to a team victory. He finished fourth overall out of 28 goflers and was the top Division III finisher. He fired a three-round 232 at the Marine Corps Intercollegiate at Camp Lejeune this weekend, averaging a 77.3 per round.

Kyle Fuller, Randolph-Macon College - (So., - Richmond, VA / Deep Run)
Fuller finished tied for 12th at the in the Scarlett Consolation bracket of the Marine Corps Intercollegiate at Camp Lejuene over the weekend. The sophomore shot an eight-over 222 over the three day contest. He posted a one under par, 69, in the second round.
