Ratner, a senior from Asheville, N.C., placed third overall and led Guilford to a fifth-place showing at the Emory Spring Invitational, which featured several of the top-rated teams in NCAA Division III. Ratner opened with a one-over-par 73 before rattling of a four-under 68 in Tuesday’s second round, the second lowest round of the tournament at the Druid’s Golf Club in Atlanta, Ga. He tied for third (141) with Methodist’s Mike Wesko, three shots back of medalist Anthony Maccaglia from Oglethorpe. The third-place performances marks Ratner’s fifth-straight top-seven finish.

Scott Wakely, Bridgewater (Va.)

Wakely shot a final round of two-over, 73, to crack the top-10 in
the individual field and lead the way for the Bridgewater Eagles
men's golf team at the Roanoke Spring Invitational. Wakely finished
in a tie for sixth place overall at +9, 151.
Rick O'Connell, Hampden-Sydney College -
(Junior, - Goochland, VA)
O'Connell won medalist honors in the Roanoke Invitational while
helping the Tigers to a second place finish. O'Connell was one of
four golfers to shoot a round of 72 (+1). He followed that up with
a 74 (+3) on day two to finish the event four-over-par at 146.
Colby Francis, Lynchburg College -
(Freshman, - Gladys, VA)
Francis fired rounds of 77 and 74 to finish with a 151 overall and
tie for sixth place at the Roanoke College Invitational this
weekend.
Patrick Hopkins, Randolph-Macon College

Hopkins used a second round score of 72 to place 10th overall with
a two day total of 153 (+11). The sophomore's second round score
led all golfers as the lowest score of the second round in the
Roanoke College Spring Invitational.
John Willard, Roanoke - (Jr, -
Christiansburg, VA)
Willard led the Maroons with a sixth place finish in the Roanoke
College Invitational over the weekend, shooting 151 (+9). The
Maroons took seventh out of 14 teams, their best finish of the
season.
