Francis, a freshman from Gladys, Va., finished third last week at the Heath Memorial hosted by the Newport News Apprentice School. He shot a 7-over par 149 (74-75) over two days to help LC place second, missing the team title by just one stroke. Francis leads Lynchburg with a 76.8 per round average, good enough for 13th in the conference.

Patrick Clossin, Washington and Lee University

Clossin helped lead W&L to a sixth-place finish out of nine
teams at the George H. Bedwell Memorial hosted by Berry University.
Individually, Clossin carded a 72-78--150 to tie for 21st overall.
For the year, the sophomore is averaging a team-best 75.8 strokes
per round.
