Francis, a freshman from Gladys, Va., was the top ODAC finisher at the Tom Kinder Memorial at Lakeview Golf Course last week. Francis opened his collegiate career with an even par 72 on day one, but then followed with a 3-under par 69 in round two on the 6,500-yard par 72 track. His two-day 141 was good for third overall, seven shots off the lead and one stroke back of second place. His 69 was tied for the second-best round of the tournament behind individual champion Trevor Banks' (Va. Intermont) opening round 65.

Foshee, the day one runner-up, carded a two-over 74 to finish
in a four-way tie for fourth place at the season-opening Tom Kinder
Memorial for the Bridgewater Eagles men's golfers. Foshee fired a
three-under, 69, on the opening day to sit in second place before
falling back to two-over on the final day. Foshee's 69 was the best
single-round score of his career.
