John Dozier III, Virginia Wesleyan, Freshman

Dozier III, a freshman from Manakin-Sabot, Va., posted his second tournament medalist finish of the fall season on the way to his second weekly award of the campaign.  He recorded a pair of under par rounds to win the VSGA Intercollegiate Championship title by seven strokes.  He opened with a two-under par 68 and finished with a one-under 69 on the way to his two-day 137 on the 6,235-yard track at Danville Golf Club in Danville, Va.  The two rounds in the 60's were the only sub-70 rounds of the event.  Dozier's mark also set a VWC record for 36 holes, topping the former Marlin mark of 140 set by Cole Herrington in the 2004 Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Championship. He is the first VWC golfer to take medalist honors at the state event since 1989 when Albie Flanagan did it with a 75, defeating Lynchburg College's Charles Hutchinson in a sudden-death playoff.

Scott Wakely, Bridgewater (Va.) - (So., - Charlottesville, Va.)
Wakely fired a final round 1-under 71 to surge to the top of the leaderboard and claim medalist honors on at the Hampden-Sydney Invitational. Wakely won by three strokes with a two-day score of +2, 146. At the VSGA Intercollegiate, Wakely withdrew from competition due to injury and was unable to defend his 2011 VSGA Intercollegiate title.

Tod Foshee, Bridgewater (Va.) - (Sr.,  Chesapeake, Va.)
Foshee finished in a tie for third overall and second amongst ODAC competition with a 5-over par 145 at the VSGA Intercollegiate Championship over the weekend.

Francis shot a 76 on Sunday to finish with a two-round score of 150 to tie for 13th place at the two-day 64th VSGA Intercollegiate Championship at the Danville Golf Club.
