Ocean Armstrong, Bridgewater, Jr.

Armstrong, a junior from Harrisonburg, Va., the top-finishing ODAC competitor in the Gold (championship) division at the Marine Corps Intercollegiate hosted at Camp Lejeune. Armstrong opened with a 1-over 73 at the par-72 6,883-yard track setup on the Gold course at the Paradise Point Golf Club. He then fired a career-low 67 on the par-70 6,101-yard Scarlet course to help Bridgewater qualify for the Gold division for third round play. Armstrong returned to the longer course and posted a 5-over 77 to finish at 3-over 217 for the tournament. He tied for 11th overall and eighth among NCAA Division III competitors. Bridgewater chimed in 10th as a team at 47-over 903 (306-281-316). Armstrong now owns a 75.9 stroke average thru 17 rounds of competition.

Josh Hill, Guilford (So.)
Hill went 2-0 as Guilford split match-play outings at the Division III Match Play Invitational. Hill defeated Hampden-Sydney's Alex Simmons, 2-and-1, in the Quakers' 3-2 setback to the Tigers. He then notched a 3-and-2 win over Jake Mattingly from Centre College in the consolation round victory. 

Alex Nelson, Randolph-Macon (Fr.)
Nelson tied for 21st overall in the Gold division at Camp Lejeune with a 7-over 221. He shot a 68 in the first round on the Scarlet course, besting his previous low-round of the year by seven strokes. He tied with Trey Razzetti for R-MC's low tournament score as the Yellow Jackets tied for fifth at 888 (282-302-304).

Andrew Butts, Roanoke (Sr.)
Butts tied for 10th at the Lynchburg Invitational at 8-ver 152 (68-84). He was the leader in the clubhouse after day one with a 4-under 68. Roanoke finished eighth as a team at 638 (315-323).
