Mary-Frances Hall, Washington and Lee, Sr.

Hall, a senior from State Road, N.C., put her best foot forward of the spring at the competitive UC-Santa Cruz Spring Invitational last week, finishing as the runner-up and helping Washington and Lee to second of nine teams. Hall carded an opening round 78 on the par-72 layout set to 5,830 yards at the Pacific Grove Golf Links. That put her six shots back of leader Kayle Hunn from nationally top-ranked George Fox University. Hall picked up four strokes on Hunn with a second round 74, leaving her as runner up to Hunn by two strokes at 8-over par 152. The Generals, ranked 11th by Golfstat, finished 10 shots back for GFU in second place at 50-over 626 (315-311). Hall is second in the ODAC with a 76.8 per round average.

Women's Golf Weekly Honor Roll

Christina Herbert, BC: continued her run over top-10 finishes with her eighth of the season in eight total events. She finished as the runner-up at the Max and Susan Stith Invitational at 8-over 116 (77-39) following 27 holes at the weather-shortened tournament. Bridgewater won the team title (498) by 19 strokes over CNU.

Olyvia Longacre, EMU: registered her second straight top-3 finish at the Max and Susan Stith Invitational at 12-over 120 (81-39) over 27 holes at the weather-shortened event. She finished seven strokes off the pace of winner Erica Whitehouse from CNU.
