Brian Peccie, Washington and Lee, Jr.

Peccie, a junior from Norfolk, Va., picked up right where he left off last season as the reigning NCAA Division III individual champion won the Division III Preview in his first outing of the season. Peccie, who doubled as the ODAC Men's Golfer of the Year in 2018, finished at 5-under 211 after three rounds at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Ky. He opened with a 2-over 74 on the par 72 track set at 7,190 yards. He reversed course in round two, carding a 5-under 67 before finishing with a 2-under 70 win by four strokes. He and runner-up Matt Organisak (-1, 215) from Emory University were the only two players under-par for the tournament. Peccie's efforts helped nationally fifth-ranked Washington and Lee to a tied for third in the team standings at 892 (314-286-292). The event featured 15 of the top 25 teams in the country.
