Davidson, a junior from Asheboro, N.C., boosted his Golfstat national ranking from #22 to #21 in Division III with a runner-up finish to help fourth-ranked Guilford College win the 50th Annual Camp Lejeune Championship in a playoff with #9 Oglethorpe University. Davidson was joined by teammate Michael Vick and OU's Tripp Murphy at 2-under par 214 following three rounds on the par-72 layout set to 6,851 yards at Paradise Point Golf Course in Camp Lejeune, N.C. The group was eight shots back of medalist top-ranked Alex Price from #2 Christopher Newport University. Davidson opened his tournament with a 1-under round of 71 powered by three birdies against two bogeys. He posted an even-par 18 holes in round two, burying six birdies against four bogeys and a double. He returned to red numbers in round three, registering five more birdies against four bogeys for another round of 71. Davidson's 14 birdies tied for the most in the tournament with Price. He matched Price and Lynchburg's Andrew Watson in par-5 scoring at 8-under par (4.33 strokes/par-5 hole). Guilford finished at 7-over 871 as a team with rounds of 288, 292, and 291. Davidson owns a 73.0 average covering 20 rounds of play this season, ranking fifth in the ODAC.
