Bridgewater College speedster Adalia Coleman successfully defended her indoor title as the "Division III's fastest woman" by repeating as the national champion in the 60-meter dash to headline the final day of action at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday. ODAC athletes added seven more All-American honors to the seven laurels collected on Friday.
Coleman matched her prelims time of 7.54 seconds in the 60-meter finals to secure one of two All-American honors on the day. She finished sixth in the 200-meter dash, making her one of four conference competitors to earn multiple All-American awards at the Birmingham CrossPlex. The other three are Virginia Wesleyan University jumper Geni Roberts and University of Lynchburg mid-distance/distance runners Frank Csorba and Tor Hotung-Davidsen.
Roberts, who finished as the runner-up in the long jump on Friday, added a bronze medal to his trophy case with a third-place showing in the triple jump on Saturday. Hotung-Davidsen was a part of Lynchburg's fourth-place distance medley relay team on day one. He upped the ante on day two, donning a silver medal with a second place finish in the 800-meter run. Csorba was also a member of the Hornets DMR squad. He blazed up the lists in the men's 3,000-meter run, finishing 11 spots better than his seeding position (19th) to chime in eighth overall.
Lynchburg's Aniya Seward and Shenandoah University's Miles Moore accounted for the remaining two All-American awards. Seward placed seventh in the 60-meter hurdles, while Moore chimed in eighth in the 200-meter dash.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Sixteen of the ODAC's best track & field stars head to Birmingham, Alabama this weekend for two days of competition at the 2023 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships. Birmingham-Southern College and the City of Birmingham serve as hosts at the Birmingham CrossPlex on Mary 10-11.
The ODAC's contingent is three athletes heavier than in 2022 with nine men and seven women comprising this year's list of 16 qualifiers. University of Lynchburg's trio of Frank Csorba, Tor Hotung-Davidsen, and Aniya Seward will compete in a pair of events. They're joined by teammates Hailey Smith, Jacob Hodnett, and Sam Llaneza in forming the largest single-school representation in the conference.
Virginia Wesleyan University multiple All-American jumper Geni Roberts will also compete twice in Alabama. Donning Shenandoah University colors are throwers Tucker Kindig and Kiara Felston as well as speedster Miles Moore. Thrower Michael Smith and sprinter Adalia Coleman represented Bridgewater, while sprinter Katelyn Gamble and distance runner Carolyn Todd carry Washington and Lee University's flag to Birmingham.
Pentathlete Ray Ray Taylor will compete in the five-event discipline in Eastern Mennonite University apparel, and sprinter Brady Fowler sports the maroon from Roanoke College.
The ODAC indoor track & field coaches continued the awards process following the 2023 ODAC Indoor Track & Field Championships by selecting special individual honors to pair with the top-three finishers in each event to finalize the 2023 All-ODAC Indoor Track & Field Awards.
Virginia Wesleyan University jumper Geni Roberts was selected as the ODAC Indoor Men's Field Athlete of the Meet for a second straight season, while University of Lynchburg standout Aniya Seward garnered ODAC Indoor Women's Field Athlete of the Meet laurels. Bridgewater College sprinter Adalia Coleman picked up her second straight ODAC Indoor Women's Track Athlete of the Meet plaque and was joined by Lynchburg distance runner Frank Csorba as the ODAC Indoor Men's Track Athlete of the Meet. Lynchburg mentor Jim Sprecher was tabbed the ODAC Coach of the Year in both sports for a second straight season. Lynchburg colors are donned by both ODAC Rookies of the Meet in mid-distance/distance runners Hailey Smith and Chasen Hunt.
On Sunday, Washington and Lee mid-distance runners Parker Hawk and Zach Moore were announced as the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Indoor Track & Field Scholar-Athletes of the Year.
Consecutive streaks are now active for both of the University of Lynchburg's indoor track & field programs as the Hornets captured both the ODAC men's and women's titles following two days of competition at the 2023 ODAC Indoor Track & Field Championships at Roanoke College's Kerr-Cregger Fieldhouse.
Lynchburg's women's team donned its fourth straight league crown with 181.0 points. The Hornets out-paced second place Washington and Lee University (130.0) and third place Roanoke (106.50), both of which eclipsed 100 total points. Lynchburg's men made it two straight ODAC titles with 169.0 points. It was the lone school to crack the century mark with Bridgewater College posting 98.0 marks and W&L chiming in third with 95.50 tallies.
Records are in jeopardy in Salem this weekend with the ODAC Indoor Track & Field Championships set to begin at noon on Saturday. Roanoke College and its Kerr-Cregger Fieldhouse welcome the league's teams for two days of competition on Saturday and Sunday, February 25-26.
This season marks the second straight year of the league's new two-day format, providing the athletes and fans with a unique opportunity to watch some of the best athletes in the country. Field events begin at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday with the first track event at 3:30 p.m. ET. Sunday starts an hour earlier with field disciplines at 11:00 a.m. ET and running events kicking off at 2:30 p.m. ET. Awards will close the championship around 7:00 p.m. ET.

Division III Management Council approved the new members of the Division III Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) during the annual NCAA Convention in San Antonio, Texas, on January 11-14. Virginia Wesleyan University first-year Julia Hathaway was appointed to represent the ODAC as well as Pennsylvania’s Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) in the SAAC’s partnership program.
ODAC track & field programs were active this weekend with several meets dotting the conference's indoor schedule in week 21. Several strong marks were posted with ODAC and school records challenged with the latter achieved on a few occasions. Week 15 closes with the second week of indoor track & field, which follows suit from past year's as the final segment for the indoor season until after the turn of the calendar. Several event victories and a school record or two feature among this week's indoor track & field award winners. Included in that list are Eastern Mennonite multi-event athlete Ray Ray Taylor and sprinter Alijah Johnson and Roanoke thrower Grace Fowler and pole vaulter Joseph Eldridge.
It is rare that we see ODAC records fall following the first weekend of indoor track & field competition, but that's exactly what ODAC fans were treated to in week 14 with not one but two standards featuring new names. Shenandoah throwers Kiara Felston and Tucker Kindig each etched their names next to conference weight throw marks. Fellow SU sprinter Miles Moore showed his speed over two events with one new SU record, and Lynchburg hurdler and sprinter Aniya Seward snapped her own school benchmark in one of her two events competed.
