Hannah Chappell-Dick, Eastern Mennonite, Jr., Mid-Distance

Chappell-Dick, a junior from Bluffton, Ohio, carved her name into the ODAC and Eastern Mennonite record books after a strong day at the UCS Invitational hosted at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.  Chappell-Dick placed sixth overall and tops among NCAA Division III competition in the mile run, eclipsing the 5:00-mark for the first time in her career with at 4:56.37.  The time snapped her own EMU record of 5:05.65 set earlier this season.  He also reset the ODAC standard of 4:58.17 set by former Roanoke College All-American, Carmen Graves, in 2013.  Chappell-Dick's time is currently fourth in the nation.  She's one of only 12 runners in D-III to run a sub-5:00 mile this season.

Women's Indoor Track Honor Roll

Becca Benfield, Guilford (So., Throws - Lawndale, N.C.)
Benfield set personal season highs in the shot put and weigth throw at the UCS Invite, toss the implements 9.41-meters and 9.67 meters, respectively.  Both rank in the top 16 in the ODAC this season.

Aleshia Washington, Lynchburg (Sr., Jumps - Virginia Beach, Va.)
Washington was the top D-III competitor and finished second overall in the long jump at the UCS Invite.  She leapt to 5.48 meters (17' 11.75") to take over the top spot in the ODAC this season.  That mark is currently 20th in the country.

Marissa Coombs, Virginia Wesleyan (Fr., Mid-Distance - Newton, N.J.)
Coombs ran twice at the Kent Taylor Invite, posting a new VWC record in the 800-meter run at 2:21.42.  She was first in the field of 12 runners, ranking fourth in the ODAC this season.  She also ran the third leg of VWC's 4x400-meter relay team that posted a time of 4:08.34.
