Amoateng, a junior from Bristow, Va., got the season started off just the way he wanted as he was the top Division III competitor in both the long and triple jumps at the Bast-Cregger Invitational. Amoateng finished third overall in both events, posting marks of 6.92 meters (22-8.50) in the long jump and 13.86 meters (45-5.75) in the triple jump. Those rank ninth and 13th, respectively, in the nation. His long jump performance is the second-best in EMU history.

Men's Indoor Track - Field Athletes Honor Roll

Prescott Terrell, BC: Won the weight throw (15.12m) and finish fourth in the shot put (13.31m) at the Bast-Cregger Invitational. Both marks lead the ODAC.

Corbin Turner, RC: Broke the Roanoke pole vault record in his first collegiate meet in placing third (4.10m) at the Bast-Cregger Invitational.

Shep Sims, W&L: Tied a personal-best and tied for first in the pole vault at the Bast-Cregger Invitational at 4.40m.
