Buzz Anthony, Randolph-Macon, Sr., Guard
March 01, 2021Anthony, a senior from Arnold, Md., capped the 2021 spring regular season with a trio of strong efforts towards three Randolph-Macon victories. The two-time ODAC Player of the Year averaged 15.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 2.3 steals while shooting 60-percent (18-of-30) from the field for the week. He started with 13 points, two rebounds, five assists, and three steals in a 99-68 win over Bridgewater. He was 5-of-7 from the field including 3-of-3 from three-point territory. Anthony followed that with 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting including 3-of-4 from deep in a 76-49 triumph at Virginia Wesleyan. He pulled down 11 rebounds and came up two assists shy of a triple-double with eight eight helpers to go with a pair of steals. Two days later, Anthony again performed well against the Marlins, helping nationally top-ranked Yellow Jackets to a 74-58 victory. Anthony scored 15 points on 5-of-11 from the field including 3-for-5 from beyond the arc. He collected nine rebounds to go with six assists and two steals. For the season, Anthony ranks eighth in the ODAC in scoring at 16.5 points per game. He leads the league in assists (48) and steals (16). he is third in three-pointers made (22-of-37) and three-point shooting (.595). He averages 5.6 rebounds per game. -
William Brueggeman, Washington and Lee, Sr., Guard
February 22, 2021Brueggeman, a senior from Houston, Texas, stuffed the stat sheet in a pair of Washington and Lee wins last week to help the Generals improve to 3-1 and extend their winning streak to three straight games. Brueggeman opened with 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting including 5-of-8 from deep and 3-of-4 from the foul line in a 98-85 win over Emory & Henry. As part of that scoring effort, he became the 28th player in W&L men's basketball history to eclipse 1,000 career points. He added eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals against the Wasps. In a 93-87 victory at Shenandoah, Brueggeman set a new career-high with 32 points. He established in a new Generals' record for three-pointers made in a game in going 8-of-13 from beyond the arc. He finished 9-of-15 from the field overall and went 6-of-6 from the charity stripe. He chipped in eight boards, two assists, and a steal. For the season, Brueggeman is sixth in the ODAC in scoring at 17.5 points per game. His 81.1-percent showing at the foul line ranks seventh in the league. He also averages 7.8 rebounds per game, good for 11th in the ODAC.

Kasey Draper, Roanoke, So., Guard/Forward
February 15, 2021Draper, a sophomore from Roanoke, Va., lit up the scoreboard with 55 total points over two games to help Roanoke to a pair of wins to improve the Maroons' season records to 6-1 overall and 5-0 in conference play. Draper opened with 24 points on 11-of-20 shooting from the field in an 80-59 triumph over Randolph. He added six rebounds, four assists, and three steals to his line. Draper then turned up the production and efficiency in a 78-68 victory over Washington and Lee. He set career-high for scoring for a second straight game with 31 points on 9-of-13 from the field and 12-of-14 from the foul line. He chipped in five rebounds, a block, and a steal as Roanoke rattled off their fifth consecutive win. For the season, Draper leads the ODAC in total points (116), field goals made (42-of-86) and free throws made (25-of-35). He is fourth in scoring average (19.3) and pulls down 7.3 boards per game.

Josh Talbert, Randolph-Macon, Jr., Guard
February 08, 2021Talbert, a sophomore from Virginia Beach, Va., put together a strong outing to spearhead a stellar effort for Randolph-Macon in a 102-51 victory at Shenandoah last week. Talbert recorded his first collegiate double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds. He shot 6-of-12 from the field including 2-of-4 from three-pointer territory. He added three assists against zero turnovers and came away with a trio of steals. For the season, Talbert is averaging 10.0 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. He leads the ODAC with 11 steals.

Ian Robertson, Randolph-Macon, Jr., Forward
February 01, 2021Robertson, a junior from Lewes, Del., had his long-distance jumper dialed in as he helped Randolph-Macon corral a pair of victories last week. Robertson opened his week with 10 points, two rebounds, an assist, a steal, and a blocked shot in a 79-55 win over Salisbury. He hit one three-pointer in that game, but then turned up his production with eight makes from beyond the arc on the way to a career-high 30 points in a 79-65 victory over Hampden-Sydney. He was 9-of-14 overall from the field including 8-of-13 from deep and 4-of-4 from the line. Robertson notched all 14 points of R-MC's 14-4 run to flip the scoreboard and put the Yellow Jackets ahead 41-33 late in the first half. Thru four games, Robertson is averaging 13.3 points per game.

T.C. Thacker, Lynchburg, Sr., Forward
January 25, 2021Thacker, a senior from Madison Heights, Va., kicked off his 2021 spring season with a pair of stat stuffing performances to earn the ODAC's first weekly award of the year. Thacker went 6-of-9 from the field towards 16 points with 19 rebounds in Lynchburg's schedule-opening 78-65 victory over Methodist. He dished out six assists and blocked five shots with a pair of steals. Thacker registered his second double-double in as many outings in the Hornets 95-87 win at Eastern Mennonite. He again dropped in 16 points to go with 14 rebounds, four steals, a blocked shot, and an assist. He pulled down nine offensive rebounds over the two outings. Thacker is averaging 16.0 points, 16.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 3.0 steals, and 3.0 blocked shots thru two games. He's shooting 55.0-percent (11-of-20) from the field.
