Men's Lacrosse Honored with 14 Awards
FOREST, Va. --- Lynchburg College defenseman and 2012 ODAC Player of the Year, Joe Lisicky, leads a long list of ODAC athletes earning All-America recognition from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA). Lisicky earned a spot on the All-America First Team, while three others earned second team honors and one on third team. Nine ODAC athletes were slotted to the honorable mention team.

Lisicky, a junior from Chadds Ford, Pa., is the first LC men's lacrosse player to earn First Team All-America accolades. He spearheaded a defense that helped lead the Hornets to their fourth overall ODAC title and a spot in the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament. The unit led the ODAC in fewest goals allowed (117) and goals-against-average (6.14). Lisicky, who was a 2011 All-America Third Team selection, led the conference with 41 caused turnovers. He's also third with 89 ground balls. Lisicky was also key in the Hornets' transition game from defense to offense, as well as on face-offs, which resulted in five goals from his defensive post.
A trio of the league's top offensive threats earned second team honors. Lynchburg attack Dylan Hoff and midfielder Andrew Wilfong were joined by Roanoke College attack Jeff Keating. Hoff, a senior from Chester Springs, Pa., scored 52 goals and assisted on 29 more to lead the ODAC in goals and points (81). He ranked ninth in the country in points per game (4.21) and 29th in goals per game (2.68). He became the school's all-time leader in points against Christopher Newport and finished his career with 251 points. Hoff also registered 11 hat-tricks on the year while being named to the All-ODAC First Team.
Wilfong, a senior from Columbus, Ohio, started all 19 games and finished second on the team with 49 points including 28 goals and 21 assists. His point and assists totals ranked seventh in the ODAC. He scored two goals and tallied two assists in the win over Washington and Lee University in the ODAC Championship game.
Keating, a two time All-American from Chatham, N.J., ranked fourth in the NCAA in points per game (4.93), and 10th in assists per game (2.33). Keating led the team in points (74) and assists (35), while being second on the squad in goals (39). The senior is second all-time in points scored (267) and total goals (158) at Roanoke over his four year career. He holds the Roanoke all-time record for man-up goals with 36, scoring 15 of those in 2012.
Fellow Maroon Mike Hayden was tabbed to the third team. A junior midfielder from Vienna, Va., Hayden ranked second in points on the Roanoke squad, tallying 48. The two-time All-ODAC selection dished out 29 assists, which ranked him third in the ODAC and 17th in the NCAA in assists per game (2.07). Hayden put up 25 total points against conference opponents, the fourth highest total in the ODAC. He also finished the season with 26 ground balls and three man-up goals.
