HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. --- Hampden-Sydney Lacrosse won their third NCAA Tournament game and first since 2003 with a decisive 23-8 win over Transylvania University in the Second Round. The Tigers advance to play Salisbury University on Saturday. Game location and time is to be determined.

How It Happened
- Hampden-Sydney wasted little time establishing their dominance as H-SC tallied the first two goals of the game in just 23 seconds, both from Duncan Morris
- Hunter Brown added an unassisted tally at 13:35 before Transylvania got on board at 9:20.
- Four different players scored to close out the first quarter with the Tigers ahead 7-1
- Hampden-Sydney scored the first three goals of the second quarter to lead 10-1, but the Pioneers rattled off the next four scores to make it just a 10-5 game with 5:12 left in the first half
- H-SC called a timeout to get regrouped, putting up the next two goals to go into halftime ahead 12-5
- The third quarter was much the same as the first as the Tigers scored seven of the frame's eight goals
- Hampden-Sydney emptied the bench in the fourth period and outperformed Transylvania 4-2

- Duncan Morris led all scorers with seven points on six goals and an assist
- Hunter Brown contributed three goals and three assists to tie the single-season record for assists with 43
- Jared Arntzen won 18 of 21 faceoffs with 12 ground balls
- Wilson Booth went 11 for 12 on faceoffs with four ground balls
- Chandler Shaheen found the back of the net four times
- Jack Doetzer tallied once and added four assists
