VWC striker Brandon Massie (above) earned his third straight ODAC Player of the Year accolade. LC mentor Chris Yeager was tabbed as the ODAC Coach of the Year while fellow Hornet Stephen Legg secured the ODAC/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete Award. H-SC forward Nick DeProspero was named the ODAC Rookie of the Year.

ODAC schools put seven teams in the NCAA Division III postseason tournaments set to begin this week. Lynchburg is joined by Virginia Wesleyan in men's soccer. The Hornets and Marlins accompany Washington and Lee in women's soccer. Lynchburg is the ODAC's lone qualifier in field hockey, and Randolph-Macon takes to the courts in volleyball.

Lynchburg scored three times in the second half to come back from a 1-0 first half deficit to defeat Roanoke, 3-1, in Lynchburg on Saturday afternoon. The Hornets earn the ODAC's automatic qualifier into the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament.

The ODAC mens soccer semifinals featured a come-from-behind win, a new ODAC career record and penalty kicks in determining the two teams that will play in the ODAC finals. Lynchburg defeated Hampden-Sydney College, 2-1, in and Roanoke advanced 4-2 on penalty kicks at Virginia Wesleyan.

Virginia Wesleyan College enters the ODAC Mens Soccer Tournament as the top seed with the chance to host games through the ODAC finals. Hampden-Sydney College earned the second seed while Lynchburg College and Roanoke College round out the top four, sequentially. The NCAA released its first set of regional rankings for the fall team sports (except football) on Wednesday with the ODAC earning solid representation throughout. In mens soccer, Roanoke College sits fifth in the South Atlantic Region, followed closely ODAC foe Virginia Wesleyan College as the sixth-ranked squad.
