Michael Venegas, Lynchburg, Sr., Midfielder
November 04, 2013Venegas, a senior from Winchester, Va., helped the Hornets to a pair of wins over Roanoke College last week --- one to lock up the third seed in the ODAC tournament, and the other in the quarterfinals of the conference postseason event. In the regular season finale, Venegas assisted on the opening goal and then headed in the winner in overtime of the Hornets' 2-1 win. On Saturday in the quarterfinals, he assisted on the lone goal in LC's 1-0 triumph. Lynchburg moves on to Virginia Wesleyan in the semifinals. Venegas has seven points on the season on two goals and three assists. -
Zach Colby, Washington and Lee, Jr., Forward
October 28, 2013Colby, a junior from Prairie Village, Kans., helped the Generals to a pair of conference wins by scoring three goals over the two contests. He opened the week with one tally in a 4-0 triumph over Emory & Henry. The goal was the second of the game, coming by way of penalty kick. It also moved him into eighth position in Washington and Lee's career goals scored list. Later in the week against Guilford, Colby added career goals 25 and 26 as he notched both of the Generals' goals in a 2-1 win over the Quakers. His tallies were the first and last scores of the game, sandwiching GC's equalizer. Colby is now second in the ODAC in both points (27) and goals scored (13).

Josh Kemp, Virginia Wesleyan, So., Midfielder
October 21, 2013Kemp, a sophomore from Frisco, Texas, picks up his second weekly award of the season after helping Virginia Wesleyan to a pair of ODAC wins over Lynchburg (1-0) and Roanoke (2-1). Kemp notched both goals in the rematch of last year's ODAC title game at Roanoke. He opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a rifle shot from 20-yards that went in off the underside of the crossbar. He notched his second tally with 47 seconds remaining in the second overtime period and his near post run met a cross by Isaac Arrington to secure the double-overtime win. Kemp has 15 points on six goals and three assists this season.

Corey Sindle, Randolph, Sr., Forward
October 14, 2013Sindle, a senior from Gloucester, Va., helped keep 17th-ranked (by the NSCAA) Randolph unbeaten on the season in earning his second weekly award of the year. He opened the week with the WildCats second goal in a 3-1 home win over Hampden-Sydney. The tally moved him into a three-way tie for ninth place on the ODAC's all-time goals scored list. On Saturday, Sindle provided the assist on the WildCats' first goal in a 2-1 win over nationally 22nd-ranked (by D3soccer.com) Roanoke. Sindle currently leads the ODAC in both goals (12) and points (30) and is tied atop the league in assists (6).

Blake Heatherly, Randolph, Fr., Defender
October 07, 2013Heatherly, a freshman from Jacksonville, N.C., helped the No. 21 WildCats to a pair of conference wins, extending Randolph's program-best winning streak to 10 games (9-0-1 over that stretch). Heatherly opened his week with a 40-yard game-winner via a free kick in a 2-1 road triumph at Randolph-Macon. He again struck from the set-piece at Eastern Mennonite, scoring Randolph's first goal in a 2-1 extra-time win over the Royals. Heatherly now has eight points on three goals and two assists.

Brian White, Roanoke, Sr., Midfielder
September 30, 2013White, a senior from Virginia Beach, Va., scored half of the Maroons' goals this week as Roanoke posted a pair of ODAC victories. White scored twice to open his week in a 3-0 triumph over Emory & Henry. He followed that with another tally in a 3-0 victory over Eastern Mennonite. White is currently fifth in the ODAC in points (11) and tied for third in goals scored (5).

Rob Sandidge, Guilford, Jr., Forward
September 23, 2013Sandidge, a junior from Sanford, N.C., had a hand in four of the Quakers five goals last week as Guilford went 2-0. Sandidge opened the week by putting in the game-winner in overtime as GC topped Ferrum, 2-1. He came back with two goals and an assist in a 3-0 league win over Eastern Mennonite. Sandidge's efforts, which include three straight games with at least a point, have helped the Quakers to a 2-0 ODAC start for the first time since 2009.

Josh Kemp, Virginia Wesleyan, So., Midfielder
September 16, 2013Kemp, a sophomore from Frisco, Texas, put together a five-point week as he helped Virginia Wesleyan to a pair of wins last week. He started the week with a goal and an assist in a 6-1 home win over Southern Virginia. He back that up with the game-winning goal in the 70th minute of a 2-1 on the road at Eastern Mennonite. Kemp has six points on the season with two goals and two assists.

Robbie Lentine, Roanoke, So., Defender
September 09, 2013Lentine, a sophomore from Raymond, Del., earned a spot on the Shellenberger Classic All-Tournament Team after notching a pair of goals in the Maroons 2-0 week. On Saturday, he open Roanoke's account in the 15th minute as he scored the opening goal off a pass from Patrick Bain in the Maroons 2-0 triumph over Marymount (Va.). Lentine provided the finishing touch in Roanoke's 3-2 double-overtime triumph over John Carroll. In the 101st minute, he slotted home a pass from Tyler Carbaugh to end the contest and move Roanoke to 4-0 on the early season.

Corey Sindle, Randolph, Sr., Forward
September 03, 2013Sindle, a senior from Gloucester, Va., started off the season with eight points through two WildCat wins in which he played a part if five of the team's eight goals scored. In a 3-0 triumph over Mary Washington to open the schedule, Sindle notched assists on the first two goals of the game. He followed that with the second hat-trick of his collegiate career in a 5-1 victory over Marymount Univesity (Va.). Sindle, tops the young ODAC charts in points (8) and goals scored (3), is the only player in Randolph program history to record a hat-trick.
