Joe Dillenbeck, Bridgewater, Sr., #1 Singles, #1 Doubles

Dillenbeck, a senior from Penn Laird, Va., picks up his second weekly award after leading Bridgewater to a key league victory last week. The Eagles' top-flight player joined Josh Rodgers for an 8-2 win at #1 doubles. Dillenbeck then registered the match-clinching point with a 6-4, 6-4 victory at #1 singles for a 6-3 team victory over Randolph-Macon. Dillenbeck is now 6-3 overall in singles play on the season, all from the top ladder position. He and Rodgers are 7-1 at #1 doubles including 3-0 against league competition.

Men's Tennis Weekly Honor Roll

Andrew McClung, E&H: went 4-0 at #5 singles and #3 doubles in wins at Ferrum and Randolph. Won 6-4, 6-3, and 6-0, 6-0 in singles play, respectively. Team with Taylor Hines for 8-4 and 8-0 wins in doubles action.

Shane Berry, R-MC: went 2-2 on the week in matches against Bridgewater and Washington College. Won 6-1, 6-0 at #5 singles against BC and 6-1, 7-5 at #4 singles against WC. He and Jacob Haines lost 8-3 at #3 doubles to BC and 8-4 at #2 doubles to WC.

Paul Gladstone, VWU: went 3-1 in a pair of non-conference wins over Centre (6-3) and Union (6-1). Won 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 at #1 singles and joined Michael Portera for an 8-5 win at #2 doubles against Centre. Made up for an 8-2 setback with Portera at #2 doubles with a 6-1, 6-4 win at #1 singles over Union.

Mitchell Thomas, W&L: won 6-1, 6-2, at #2 singles and joined Noah Tapp for an 8-2 win at #2 doubles in a 9-0 team victory over Lynchburg. He is 6-3 in singles play and 7-4 in doubles action on the season.
