The victory not only marked the second All-American award of the season for Tallman --- he finished third indoors --- but it also represents the second win in the event for ODAC athletes in 2014.  Lynchburg College standout Tom Sippie, who did not compete outdoors due to injury, won the indoor 400-meter national title.

Washington and Lee also featured Aaron Jeong in the 100-meter dash, while he joined Tallman and teammates Agustin Kim and Cole Glasgow in the 4x100-meter relay.  Jeong chimed in 14th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.79 seconds.  The Generals 4x100 team missed qualifying for the finals by just 0.12 seconds, but they did set a new ODAC season-best time at 41.24 seconds.  That mark is just 0.03 shy of tying the conference record.
