Lee, a freshman from Nasville, Tenn., competed in four events at the Hopkins Loyola Invitational and took over the ODAC's top spot on the seasonal charts in two events. Lee made plenty of noise with a leap of 5.64 meters (18' 6.0") to win the long jump and tie for eighth in NCAA Division III. It also bettered her own ODAC season-best mark and set new W&L and meet records in the process. She went on to finish second in the triple jump at 10.91 meters (35' 9.5") and eighth in both the 100 meter (12.82 sec.) and 200-meter (26.11 sec.) dashes. Her time in the 200m is the best in the ODAC this season.
Women's Outdoor Track & Field Honor Roll
Hannah Chappell-Dick, Eastern Mennonite
(So., Mid-Distance - Bluffton,
Ohio)
Chapell-Dick reset her own EMU record in the 800-meter dash for
the third week in a row. She posted a time of 2:11.89 to
place 13th at the Mason Spring Invitational. It also ranks
third in NCAA Division III.
Rebecca Reyna, Guilford (So., Mid-Distance
- Liberty, N.C.)
Reyna set the Guilford record in the 800-meter dash
at the Aggie Invitational with a time of 2:30.32. She was
also a part of the Quakers 4x400-meter relay team, which competed
for the first time in school history. They posted a time of
4:27.92.
Samantha Clowser, Roanoke (Sr., Throws - Salem,
Va.)
Clowser competed in three throwing events at the
Aggie Invitational. She place third in the hammer with a
throw of 44.43 meters (145' 9.0"). She then placed seventh in
the discus at 32.66 meters (107' 2.0") and 10th in the shot put at
10.64 meters (34' 11.0"). She was the top D-III finisher in
each event.
Courtney Mebane, Virginia Wesleyan (Sr., Hurdles/Jumps
- Virginia Beach, Va.)
Mebane set a new VWC record and took over the ODAC's
top spot this season in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of
1:05.30 at the Aggie Invitational. She was also a part of the
VWC record-setting 4x100-meter relay team that posted a time of
48.87 seconds, which is second in the ODAC. She placed 10th
in the triple jump at 10.25 meters (33' 7.5").
