Dericks, a senior from Waveland, Ind., put together a strong showing despite less than ideal weather at the W&L Carnival. Dericks competed in the discus and javelin, finishing as the top Division III competitor and second overall in the discus at 42.72 meters (140-2.00). That mark is tops in the ODAC and 13th in the country thru the first two weeks of outdoor competition. Dericks finished third overall in the javelin at 51.15 meters (167-10.00). That mark ranks second in the ODAC and 28th on the national list.

Men's Outdoor Track & Field - Field Athlete Weekly Honor Roll

Prescott Terrell, BC: competed in three throws at the W&L Carnival. Finished second in the hammer (49.42m; 162-1.00), fourth in the shot put (13.08m; 42-11.00), and seventh in the discus (38.61m; 126-8.00).

Grant Amoateng, EMU: Took part in three events at the W&L Carnival. Finished third in the triple jump (13.67m; 44-10.25), seventh in the 100m dash (11.46) and 15th in the 200m dash (23.41).

Quentin Webert, VWU: competed in two throws at the UMW Opener. Finished fifth in the hammer (38.76m; 127-2.00) and seventh in the shot put (11.29m; 37-0.50).
