Bailey Parks, Roanoke, Fr., Jumps/Sprints

Parks, a freshman from Cornelius, N.C., put together a pair of winning performances at the W&L Carnival over the weekend. Parks won both the long and triple jumps and ranks inside NCAA Division III's top-50 in both events thru the first two weeks of outdoor competition. Her mrk of 10.90 meters (35-9.25) tops the ODAC season chart and sits 20th in the country. She is now #2 in the ODAC table in the long jump after leaping to 5.14 meters (16-10.50) in the long jump. That mark is 26th in the nation. Parks also helped the Maroons to second in the 4x100-meter relay with a team time of 51.07 seconds.

Women's Outdoor Track & Field - Field Events Weekly Honor Roll

Tye Meador, BC: participated in three events at the W&L Carnival. Finished sixth in the triple jump (10.21m; 33-6.00) and 400m dash (1:03.10) and fifth in the 200m dash (27.04).

Rachel Murray, LC: competed in all four throws at the W&L Carnival. Improved upon her ODAC-best javelin mark by placing second at 34.39m (112-10.00). Finished seventh in discus (31.19m; 102-4.00), 15th in the hammer (31.55m; 103-6.00), and 20th in the shot put (9.42m; 30-11.00).

Michelle Yates, VWU: competed in three throws at the UMW Opener. Won the shot put with an ODAC-best mark of 12.29m (40-4.00). Finished fourth in the hammer (35.38m; 116-1.00) and eighth in the discus (27.12m; 89-0.00).
